Senior Manager – Loan Operations

Hybrid-Wilmington, Delaware

Monday to Friday 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

This position reports to the Head of Loan Operations and will be a senior member of our dynamic team of professionals engaged in the delivery of a range of operational services on complex capital markets transactions.

The CSC Delaware Trust portfolio is growing both in size and complexity. An experienced individual is required to support the growth and adequately manage the day-to-day administration of a diverse range of transactional requirements.

The successful candidate will be required to work closely with a broad range of stakeholders including investment banks, private equity and private credit funds, law firms, and audit firms. It is not unusual to have direct contact with client CFO’s and Treasury Managers, and therefore a high degree of professionalism, attention to detail, and strong communication skills are essential.

Some of the things you will be doing:

The candidate in this role will support an assigned book of business, with volume fluctuating quarterly. Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:

  • Review / Quality Check of the following activities:
    • Transaction processing (e.g., rollovers)
    • Issuer/Borrower Invoicing
    • Letter of Credit Activity
    • Payment Processing
    • Unscheduled Repayments/Borrowings
    • Reporting (daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly, ad-hoc)
    • Data Governance and Database Accuracy
  • Handle inbound and outbound communication with internal and external stakeholders via email and phone.
  • Conduct internal and external meetings with stakeholders communicating status updates to the business or book of business.
  • Manage Deal Closing Execution & Funding.
  • Team Training for Industry Best Practices and Company Related Policies.
  • Maintain and update operational procedures to ensure consistency and compliance.

What technical skills, qualifications, and experience do you need?

  • Bachelor’s Degree required with 5+ years of Banking and/or Relevant Financial Services Experience (Loan Operations) experience.
  • Proven experience leading and managing teams, ideally within financial services.
  • Ability to oversee day-to-day operations while driving strategic initiatives.
  • In-depth knowledge of loan facility agreements and an understanding of the roles involved in bilateral loans, syndicated loans, and project finance. Experience with bonds or structured finance is a strong plus.
  • Solid understanding of financial markets and products, with experience using payment systems for confirming and settling these products.
  • Experience using WSO, Loan IQ, DebtDomain, iLEVEL, ClearPar or other similar loan/banking platform preferred.
  • Comprehensive understanding of the loan operations lifecycle, with the ability to identify and resolve issues related to client loan activities.
  • Familiarity with deal structuring, distribution, documentation, funding, and post-closing management; ability to proactively address challenges and ensure compliance with regulatory and internal standards.

  • Strong attention to detail in reviewing financial documents, structuring deals, and accurately calculating rates, fees, and payouts.
  • Ability to work effectively with numbers, identify discrepancies, and maintain a high level of accuracy in all tasks directly contributes to the smooth execution of loan transactions and the elimination of errors or operational risks.
  • Ability to generate ad hoc calculations as needed for a customer/client. Ad hoc calculations include but are not limited to the following: interest calculations, paydown calculations, pro-rata splits, per diem calcs, payoff letter calculations, etc.
  • Commitment to ensuring thorough and robust quality checks in all aspects of loan processing, with a focus on maintaining high standards and not compromising on accuracy or compliance.
  • Proficiency in using MS Office suite of applications, with a particular focus towards Excel.
