Job Category: Human ResourcesGENERAL SUMMARY OF DUTIES: United Digestive’s Senior Manager, Learning is a dynamic, resourceful and strategic leader responsible for the design, development and delivery of learning initiatives across our healthcare organization.  Partnering with leaders and subject matter experts across the organization, the Senior Manager will create and manage impactful onboarding and on-the-job learning opportunities for both clinical and non-clinical staff.   The role balances strategic insight and planning with hands-on program delivery, playing a critical role in enhancing workforce capabilities, improving engagement, retention and supporting team member and leadership development.
REPORTS TO: SVP of Human Resources
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Duties may include but are not limited to:
- Assess organizational training needs and ensure training strategy and content aligns with organizational priorities
- Partner closely with leaders and subject matter experts to design and deliver role-specific learning pathways and targeted training initiatives for clinical and non-clinical team members across our organization.
- Create and deliver leadership development programs to improve readiness and team performance.
- Partner with HR and department leaders to create relevant onboarding and orientation content that reflects current organizational processes, policies and culture. Participate in orientation sessions for new hires ensuring all new team members receive consistent, compliant, and engaging experience.
- Measure the effectiveness of training programs using KPIs such as competency assessments, compliance rates, turnover, and feedback to drive adoption, adherence and continuous improvement.
- Ensure programs are aligned with compliance, quality, and patient care standards in a healthcare environment.
- In partnership HR Operations and SMEs, manage the LMS platform in Paycom Learning including course setup, user enrollment, and compliance tracking. Ensure the maintenance of accurate training records for audits and licensure purposes.
- Build and deliver quarterly reporting for training initiatives and outcomes for the organization.
- Facilitate instructor-led training and train-the-trainer sessions (in person or virtually) on relevant topics.
- Develop instructional materials such as course manuals, simulations, and e-learning content tailored to adult learners in a healthcare environment.
- Performs any other duties and/or special tasks as assigned by United Digestive leadership
REQUIRED EDUCATION, SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:
- Required
- - Bachelor’s degree in Education, Human Resources, Organizational Development, or related field.
- - 7+ years of progressive experience in learning & development, including LMS administration and program design.
- - Experience leading learning efforts with a strong emphasis on leadership, healthcare, customer service/experience, compliance and role-based training within a geographically dispersed organization
- - Strong business insight, with the ability to link learning efforts to measurable business impact
- - Strong project management skills with the ability to lead cross-functional initiatives.
- - Excellent communication, facilitation, and stakeholder management skills.
- - Hands-on experience with eLearning tools (Articulate, Captivate, etc.).
- - Knowledge of instructional design models such as ADDIE or Bloom’s Taxonomy.
- - Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
- - Influencing, negotiation and facilitation skills to champion and maintain collaborative relationships with key partners
- - Proven ability to interface with team members at various levels from Individual Contributor to C-Suite Executives
- Preferred
- - Experience in a healthcare setting, with understanding of both clinical and non-clinical training needs.
- - Experience with change management and performance consulting.
- - Certification in instructional design or learning technologies (ATD, CPLP, etc.) is a plus.
- - Experience developing simulation-based training.
- - Knowledge of healthcare regulations and clinical competencies (e.g., Joint Commission, HIPAA, OSHA).
PHYSICAL/MENTAL/ENVIRONMENTAL DEMANDS
Requires sitting and standing associated with a normal office environment. Hybrid 2-3 days in Headquarters office. Travel as business needs dictate.
