Job Description

Working at Atlassian

Atlassians can choose where they work – whether in an office, from home, or a combination of the two. That way, Atlassians have more control over supporting their family, personal goals, and other priorities. We can hire people in any country where we have a legal entity.

Your future team

The Investor Relations team sits at the heart of Atlassian’s long-term strategy. We build and communicate the company’s multi-year strategic narrative to the investment community, and help shape how Atlassian is understood by shareholders, employees, and other stakeholders.

As an Investor Relations Senior Manager, you will help drive education of Atlassian’s strategy and business model with investors and analysts. You will partner closely with teams across the broader business to connect financial performance, product and go-to-market initiatives, and external narratives. Additionally, this role is uniquely positioned to help shape the business' understanding of market or competitive dynamics and empower the leadership team in driving key strategic decisions. This is a highly visible role that blends analytical rigor with compelling storytelling and frequent interaction with both investors and internal stakeholders.

Responsibilities

What you'll do

  • Translate Atlassian’s financial model, operating drivers, and KPI framework into clear external messaging; build the KPI framework and narrative.

  • Own quarterly earnings prep and execution: messaging, materials (shareholder letter support, decks, scripts/Q&A), analyst/investor briefings, FAQs, and post‑earnings follow‑ups.

  • Draft and refine investor communications with high standards for clarity and accuracy (earnings materials, conference remarks, IR site content, FAQs, talking points).

  • Drive strategic investor engagement: targeting and outreach, conference participation, and NDRs; ensure strong prep and tight follow‑through; build day‑to‑day relationships with analysts and investors.

  • Analyze P&L and KPIs to surface trends, risks, and opportunities; track investor sentiment and synthesize feedback into clear recommendations.

  • Lead ongoing competitive, peer, and industry analysis (positioning, business model, pricing/packaging, GTM, narratives) and own regular internal readouts on competitive analysis, investor positioning, industry themes, and valuation drivers to inform strategy and messaging.

  • Own IR datasets; partner with FP&A and Data Science to ensure accurate, accessible data and effective tooling.

  • Leverage external data to track ownership, valuation, and peer trends.

  • Partner across Finance, Strategy, Legal, Comms, GTM, and Data Science to align strategy and messaging; improve IR processes, tools, and templates; prepare executive briefs.

Qualifications

Your background

  • Experience in investment banking, equity research, private equity, corporate development, corporate finance, or investor relations at a public software/internet company.

  • Advanced financial and analytical skills: navigate P&L and statements, build/interpret models, and translate insights clearly.

  • Demonstrated familiarity with valuation methods and how investors apply them.

  • Exceptional written and verbal communication; craft clear narratives for senior and external audiences.

  • Ability to switch between deep quantitative analysis and high‑level storytelling in a fast‑paced environment.

  • Meticulous attention to detail and curiosity about business models, SaaS metrics, and industry dynamics.

  • Proficiency in modeling and analysis; comfort with large datasets and tools like FactSet.

  • Collaborative partner who builds trust with cross‑functional teams and executives.

  • Prior Investor Relations experience at a public company (software/SaaS preferred).

  • Hands‑on experience with third party data for ownership tracking, consensus, and peer benchmarking.

  • Experience supporting earnings, investor days, and other investor events; prepare presentations and Q&A.
