The strategic direction

Our organisation is moving from a traditional product‑focused approach towards a broader and more commercially driven category management model. This transformation involves shifting from new‑product and launch‑driven activities to a stronger end‑to‑end responsibility for market growth, including active life‑cycle management. The focus is expanding from individual products to a holistic commercial perspective, where pricing, channel strategy, marketing, product portfolio considerations, and partnerships are viewed together to drive growth across categories.

Overall, the change strengthens our commercial and business development capabilities and supports the development of cohesive strategic portfolio and growth plans across categories. What we offer

You will lead a dedicated team of three professionals and a student assistant focused on category management and commercial activation. Together, we work closely with VELUX Commercial and other key stakeholders to accelerate growth in the flat roof segment. This role is highly collaborative and commercially driven, with a strong emphasis on pricing, channel strategy, and sales activation.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to influence the growth of a strategic category and help establish VELUX as a leading player in flat roof solutions. You will work in an international environment and collaborate across functions to deliver impactful results.

More specifically, your tasks will be to:

  • Define and execute the commercial strategy for Flat Roof Windows, including pricing, channel, and sales activation.
  • Drive business development initiatives to strengthen our market position.
  • Manage the product portfolio with a focus on in-market performance and commercial optimisation.
  • Collaborate with R&D, Sales, and Marketing to ensure alignment and execution of plans.
  • Collaborate closely with VELUX Commercial to support project sales and large-scale solutions.
  • Motivate and develop your team to drive performance and deliver on strategic priorities and achieve ambitious goals.

What you will bring

You are a commercially minded category leader with strong strategic and execution skills. You thrive in a dynamic environment and have a proven ability to deliver results through proactive leadership.

Moreover, we expect that you:

  • Have solid experience in product management or category management, ideally within B2B environments and large, high-value products.
  • Bring expertise in pricing, channel strategy, and sales activation.
  • Possess experience in business development and driving growth in competitive markets.
  • Are comfortable working in an international setting and collaborating across functions.
  • Are skilled at shaping and communicating clear, compelling narratives that align stakeholders and create momentum behind key initiatives.
  • Demonstrate a proactive, strategic mindset and the ability to execute plans that deliver measurable results.
