Position Purpose

The Development Department is responsible for ensuring the company’s growth objectives are met through de novo and small format hospital development, joint ventures, bed expansions, and acquisitions. The Senior Manager will be responsible for managing the small format hospital and bed expansion development processes, creating presentation materials and reports for both internal and external purposes, drafting RFP responses, and preparing the market and financial analyses necessary for project evaluation. The Senior Manager of Development will report to a Vice President of Development.

RESPONSIBILITIES AND TASKS

• Develops and vets growth strategies for the Company’s existing markets.
• Manages the small format hospital development and bed expansion processes for assigned territories.
• Creates presentation materials and reports for both internal and external purposes.
• Prepares the market and financial analyses necessary for project evaluation.
• Completes market research to prepare the team for internal and external presentations.
• Works with the Development team, Treasury, and Operations to develop financial models.
• Manages internal due diligence processes.
• Drafts RFP responses.
• This position must sit at our Home Office in Birmingham, AL

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in business, finance, or a similar field.
• Master’s degree in business, health administration, or a similar field preferred.
• Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in the following:
• Working in healthcare finance, strategy, or corporate development, or experience in investment banking, management consulting or a similar field, preferably with a focus on healthcare.
• Translating complex strategies and ideas into an easily understandable narrative and presentation.
• Evaluating or preparing financial statements or pro formats.
• Analyzing data and drawing conclusions regarding the risks and opportunities.
• Project management.
