Senior Manager of Capital Projects (Multifamily)

Location: Long Beach, CA - Corporate Office + Regional Travel

Compensation: $115,000 – $145,000

Position Summary

The Senior Manager of Capital Projects oversees planning, execution, and delivery of major capital improvements across a multifamily portfolio. This role ensures projects are completed on schedule, within budget, and in compliance with safety standards and municipal codes.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop long-term capital expenditure plans and annual CapEx budgets
• Conduct physical asset condition assessments across residential properties
• Manage full lifecycle of renovation and construction projects
• Coordinate with maintenance managers, engineers, architects, and contractors
• Oversee job site activities, inspections, and OSHA compliance
• Administer RFIs, submittals, change orders, and project documentation
• Resolve field construction issues and ensure craftsmanship standards
• Secure permits, entitlements, and final sign-offs with local agencies
• Track project timelines, budgets, and performance metrics

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management or related field
• 7+ years of multifamily construction or renovation experience
• Proficiency with construction software (Procore, Buildertrend)
• PMP, CCM, or General Contractor License preferred
• Strong leadership, communication, and project-management skills
