Description

PURPOSE:

The Senior Manager of Advancement leads Resonate Global Mission’s donor relations team and initiatives and serves as a binational major donor representative. This position will ensure the donor relations team members are effectively connecting with Resonate constituents and staff to effectively generate revenue and support Resonate’s mission.

This position is full-time at 36 hours a week and offers a hybrid work schedule, an attractive benefits package (including retirement fund contribution), and four weeks' vacation.

The starting salary for this position is $91,482/year USD or $93,084/year CAD.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following.

  1. Ensure goals, strategies, and key performance indicators (KPIs) for the Resonate donor relations team are well-documented and utilized for analysis and revenue growth. Set annual goals, plans, and strategies for staff around donor development and revenue generation.
  2. Maintain and grow the current portfolio of major donors by prioritizing regular communication and relationship building, including in-person visits. Maintain personal KPIs and revenue targets related to the portfolios of major donors.
  3. Proactively identify and develop relationships with prospective new major donors by initiating communication and prioritizing in-person visits.
  4. Develop a strategy within the donor portfolio that is personalized around individual donors’ capacities and interests, and is focused on Resonate revenue goals.
  5. Identify donor funding opportunities and collaborate with other departments on proposal development and presenting to donors.
  6. Oversee the members of Resonate’s donor relations team through successful hiring, onboarding, training, goal-setting, management, and performance recognition.
  7. Ensure appropriate reporting to donors, including impact reports and invitations to participate in ministry visits.
  8. Promote planned giving opportunities with assigned donors as appropriate.
  9. Ensure accurate and timely records are maintained in the Salesforce (CRM) database related to donor visits and interactions.
  10. Serve on cross-department leadership teams that help integrate and coordinate efforts relating to Resonate’s budget, revenue goals, and strategic activities.
  11. Work closely with the Resonate communications team on fundraising and messaging strategies.
  12. Collaborate with Resonate’s program teams, including core initiative leaders and program managers, to develop proposals, campaigns, and other effective strategies related to fundraising.
  13. Work regularly with the Director of Resonate and Resonate’s Director of Operations on overarching strategies related to revenue generation and mission advancement.
  14. Partner with other CRCNA agencies and teams on advancement-related goals.
  15. Other duties as assigned by the Resonate Director of Operations or the Resonate Director.

QUALIFICATIONS

  1. Able to support the mission, vision, and values of the CRCNA.
  2. Proven track record of successful fundraising and stewardship.
  3. Demonstrated skills in administration, management, and leadership.
  4. Ability to think strategically and manage complex projects from start to finish.
  5. Self-motivated with individual initiative within a team environment.
  6. Exceptional written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
  7. Deep awareness of intercultural missions and representing a denominational missions agency.
  8. A deserved reputation of integrity and trust.
  9. Proficient in commonly used computer applications and constituent relationship management (CRM) software.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  1. Bachelor’s degree in business administration, marketing, communications, or related field is required.
  2. Advanced experience in fundraising is required; experience in a nonprofit setting is preferred.
  3. Intermediate experience in managing teams as a direct supervisor.
  4. Certificated Fundraising Executive or related accreditation is an asset.

  • The work location will primarily be at the denomination office located in Grand Rapids, Michigan, or Burlington, Ontario.
  • Frequent video calls/meetings are required
  • Travel outside of the office, both domestically and internationally, is necessary at times.
