WM is seeking a strategic and creative Sr. Manager of Multimedia Communications to oversee the development, production, and delivery of compelling content across internal and external corporate communications channels. This role will support corporate messaging, storytelling, and communications goals by collaboratively partnering with internal teams and external vendors to create stories that clearly explain complex ideas and processes to diverse audiences. Reporting to the Sr. Manager of Strategic Communications, this individual will play a crucial role in the Corporate Communications team, creating high-quality multimedia stories and content that help advance WM’s commitments, values, and strategic priorities.

II. Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Leading the end-to-end content creation process, from ideation, storyboarding, and writing to production and delivery, ensuring alignment with communications goals and messaging.
  • Translating complex concepts, technical processes, financial results, and research findings into clear, impactful, and engaging narratives and stories tailored for a variety of communication channels and audiences.
  • Delivering a variety of content types, including social media and website content, infographics, storyboards, videos, PowerPoint presentations, and executive content ensuring consistency and effectiveness of storytelling across all formats.
  • Adapting ideas and content assets for use across multiple communications channels and platforms.
  • Developing content that supports executive communications and speaking engagements while increasing organizational visibility across internal and external channels.
  • Managing multiple projects and initiatives simultaneously and collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality content on time and within budget.
  • Implementing best practices in visual communication and remaining current with trends in digital and social media and storytelling techniques.
  • Measuring content performance and reporting outcomes by utilizing KPIs and analytics to evaluate and measure the success of content and inform and optimize future content strategies.
  • Maintaining standardized processes and ways of working to enhance collaboration, productivity, and innovation across workstreams.
  • Performing other duties and responsibilities, as assigned.

III. Qualifications

  • A bachelor’s degree in communications, marketing, or journalism or equivalent work experience.
  • A minimum of 6 years of experience in storytelling or production leading multi-channel creative and content-driven projects from concept through completion as well as a track record of delivering strong, measurable results.
  • Exceptional writing, editing, creative, and project management skills with keen attention to detail across all tasks and deliverables.
  • Demonstrated ability to think strategically, creatively, and innovatively while also acting tactically to accomplish key goals.
  • Excellent people and project management skills with the ability to thrive while managing multiple time-sensitive projects under tight deadlines.
  • Strong understanding of the creative process and what agencies need from clients. 
  • Ability to synthesize complex, technical, or data-heavy inputs into clear narratives.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office, SharePoint, Adobe Creative Suite, Canva, and other content, creative, and communications platforms.
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively with all levels of internal stakeholders, including with executive leadership (C-suite level) and a broad range of cross-functional partners.
  • Experience telling visual stories during mergers and acquisitions, demonstrated comfort with change, and working cross-functionally in a fast-paced environment.
  • Expertise creating engaging content for diverse internal and external audiences across a range of digital channels.
  • Proven experience collaborating with internal teams and external vendors to manage the creative process from ideation and storyboarding to production and delivery.

The expected base pay range for this position across the U.S. is $ 129,150 - $171,150. This range represents a good faith estimate for this position. The specific salary offered to a successful candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors including the candidate’s relevant experience, education, training, certifications, qualifications, and work location.
