- Lead and oversee the entire Maintenance, Technical, Plant Operations, and Engineering (MTPOE) function at the Godda power plant, ensuring operational efficiency and reliability of all equipment and systems.
- Develop and implement robust maintenance strategies including preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance plans to minimize downtime and maximize plant availability.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives through the adoption of advanced technologies, condition monitoring tools, and data analytics to enhance asset performance and lifecycle management.
- Ensure strict adherence to safety protocols and environmental regulations, fostering a safety-first culture aligned with Adani’s core values of care and responsibility.
- Manage and mentor a multidisciplinary team of engineers, technicians, and operators, promoting skill development, performance excellence, and succession planning.
- Collaborate closely with project management, procurement, quality assurance, and supply chain teams to ensure timely execution of capital projects and refurbishment activities.
- Lead root cause analysis investigations for any plant failures or operational anomalies, and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
- Establish and monitor Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for plant operations, maintenance effectiveness, energy consumption, and cost control to meet business targets.
- Spearhead the adoption of digital tools and Industry 4.0 solutions such as IoT, SCADA, and predictive analytics to transform plant operations and decision-making processes.
- Coordinate with external vendors, contractors, and regulatory bodies to ensure compliance and optimize service delivery.
- Drive energy conservation programs and sustainable practices that align with Adani’s vision of creating a greener and cleaner energy future.
- Prepare and present regular reports to senior management on operational status, challenges, and strategic initiatives.
- Champion cross-functional collaboration and knowledge sharing across the Adani group to leverage best practices and innovation.
- Stay abreast of emerging trends and technologies in the power and energy sector, ensuring the plant remains at the forefront of operational excellence and technical innovation.
Education Qualification
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or Power Engineering is mandatory. - Master’s degree or MBA in relevant disciplines will be an added advantage.
Certification Required
- Certified Maintenance & Reliability Professional (CMRP) or equivalent certification is preferred. - Safety and Environmental Management certifications are desirable.
