What’s the role?
Develop and deliver strategic plans for priority segments (Personal Loans) and core portfolios that drive commercial impact, so more customers choose to join and stay with us. This role indirectly leads an end‑to‑end, cross‑functional team to deliver marketing, digital and channel initiatives that support key strategic objectives. Working closely with LOB partners, Commercial Strategy, and Insights & Analytics, the role builds a deep understanding of products, customers, and market value pools to inform decision‑making. It also develops propositions and initiatives that shift perceptions of Westpac and drive measurable commercial uplift, while continuously reviewing, analysing, and optimising performance to improve effectiveness and business outcomes.
What do I need?
  • Senior strategic marketer with 7–10 years’ experience, able to operate in fast‑paced environments and quickly zero in on product and customer needs.
  • Strong stakeholder management with the ability to navigate challenging stakeholders and drive alignment.
  • Proven ability to deliver revenue through direct customer campaigns and work with internal and external agencies.
  • Background in consumer finance or banking (credit cards, mortgages, personal loans), etc
  • Proficient in modern Martech platforms (Salesforce, Adobe) with strong audience management skills and understanding of marketing regulatory requirements.
