About the job

The Customer Insights is looking for a Senior Manager to lead our Market and Customer Insights team and responsible for developing and communicating market, customer, and competitive insights that shape business strategy and drive execution.

This highly visible role plays a critical part in enabling SAS to successfully navigate and compete in the AI landscape. Through market research and advanced analysis, the position delivers actionable insights that shape business strategy, accelerate customer growth and engagement, and expand market share. The role serves as a key voice of the customer—shaping the SAS value proposition and influencing the company’s strategic direction—while leading cross-functional initiatives to improve customer loyalty, retention, and the end-to-end customer experience.

As a Senior Manager, Marketing and Customer Insight, you will:

  • Lead the team’s implementation of innovative research techniques, to address business questions from multiple functions within the organization.

  • Lead market researchers in synthesizing trends coming from multiple sources and identifying which opportunities SAS should focus on to drive growth for the business.

  • Coach, develop, and motivate team members and leaders to ensure they are engaged and growing in their analytic, research, leadership, and storytelling skills and capabilities.

  • Synthesize numerous data sources to develop meaningful insights and compelling recommendations to drive business strategies.

  • Crafts strong stories that are inclusive of several types of data sources including internal behavioral data, qualitative and quantitative studies, and syndicated research to shape full stories of consumer and market driven data.

  • Collaborate with functions across the enterprise to establish a consistent perspective on critical customer-focused questions.

  • Supervise, mentor, coach and develop team members.

Required qualifications 

  • Bachelor's Degree, preferably in Business, Marketing, Computer Science, or other related field.

  • Twelve years of experience in Marketing, Sales, Consulting or related function in the technology industry, preferably in product marketing and at least two years of management experience.

  • Hands on quantitative analysis knowledge and skills.

  • Strong written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills

  • Ability to relate technical concepts and analytics to a business audience.

  • Equivalent combination of related education, training and experience may be considered in place of the above qualifications.
