Job Description

PURPOSE

  • A key player in Global Sourcing in driving Sourcing’s vision to be the Most Agile, Most

Competitive, Most Digitalized & Cleanest Supply Base in the industry.

  • Manage and support initiatives which elevate the competitiveness of the supply base, allowing

it to deliver adequate products and excelling in manufacturing efficiency performance.

  • Manage and support projects aimed at increasing the product’s competitiveness. Deliver

actionable aspirational goals for the Supply Base, aimed to deliver competitive products and

influence the manufacturing methods to make them.

  • Support the acceleration of a digitally connected industry–leading supply base, with integrated

mature processes and systems, supporting adidas Digital Maturity roadmap.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Manage and execute Engineering & Manufacturing Innovation projects across all pillars of

Product and Methods, Process and People, to deliver measurable & sustainable increase in

manufacturing efficiency, quality and speed.

  • Ensure that Lean Manufacturing Principles are maintained with all projects and that Lean

Manufacturing metrics are continuously tracked.

  • Support multi-dimensional events across all product types, to identify short term, midterm

and long-term efficiency improvement opportunities.

  • Partner with machine manufacturers and attend industry trade fairs to keep up to date on

industry technology development impacting productivity. Transfer knowledge into

productivity improvement efforts across responsible factories.

  • Communicate progress throughout the adidas Sourcing organization and assist building a

platform for knowledge transfer. (SME, WME, etc.)

  • Perform SPIKE criteria evaluations at all suppliers for SPIKE June and December

milestones.• Role model leadership to foster a culture of Diversity Equity & Inclusion that strives for an

inclusive workplace.

  • Visionary thinking with up-to-date knowledge of where industry is trending towards
  • Innovative mindset and highly self-motivated
  • Broad background in Industrial Engineering technology and application
  • Strong knowledge and experience in Lean 6 Sigma practices and training techniques
  • Strong project management, analytical skills and problem-solving skills
  • Strong influencing, people, presentation and communication skills
  • Proven ability in leading multidimensional teams
  • Fluent in English (written and spoken)
  • Strong Microsoft office skill

REQUISITE EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • University Degree in Industrial Engineering or related areas
  • Minimum 7+ years of relevant experience
