Job Description

  • Manage regulatory compliant warehousing, inventory control, packaging and distribution of contact lens across Taiwan.

  • Take a strong leadership role liaising with the Global Supply Chain team in managing inventories of finished goods to appropriate levels while meeting product availability and DOH (Days on Hand) targets.

  • Manage and develop partnership with 3rd-party logistics service provider to support business development activities in the market. Drives continuous improvement and cost reduction initiatives for warehousing and delivery operation while meeting or improving on established KPIs under QMS requirement.

  • Demonstrates strong interpersonal skills and ability to effectively communicate with all levels of management

  • Determine WMS system and distribution systems, develop appropriate capex/opex and other resource plans to support those requirements.

  • Provide strategic direction for continuous improvement and cost reduction projects that reduce or eliminate obsolete, inefficient processes and deliver quantifiable positive results

  • Ensures day-to-day performance metrics as well as strategic initiatives are being clearly articulated and managed by the leadership of the Customer Service functions, ensuring we are achieving best-in-class results

  • Builds and motivates a High Performing team that is relentless in driving positive change and achieving outstanding results. Delegates effectively and keeps the team engaged with a variety of challenges and development opportunities

  • Strong background with ERP, WMS and CRM systems

  • Drives logistical readiness for new product launches. Liaises with Sales and Marketing to ensure that distribution network is prepared for launches or expansions of new product lines, packaging or customers. Works all aspects of supply, from procurement through to customer delivery

  • Executes strategy to meet delivery requirements and SLAs within established targets.

  • Develops department budgets and periodical opex forecast and delivers financial results that meet those budget requirements.

  • Drives vendor RFQ/RFP processes as required.

  • Ensures that operations are executed in a manner compliant with all appropriate RAQA requirements.

  • Works effectively and proactively with the General Manager and Director of Distribution, China Cluster to understand and achieve market & regional objectives, including but not limited to S&OP Processes, Working Capital reduction, minimal inventory write offs and managing 3PL effectively, within budget targets

  • Facilitates development and implementation of customer service indicators to drive outstanding results that advanced CV towards our goal of Supplier of Choice

  • Broad logistics/supply chain knowledge focusing on warehousing, customer delivery and customs operations preferably in medical device or retailing industry.
  • Broad knowledge in logistics operations and strategic network planning.
  • Proven leadership skills within logistics/supply chain field.
  • Knowledge of applicable laws and regulations of medical device industry will be an advantage (GDP, ISO13485, QMS).
  • Strong commercial negotiation skills, interpersonal skills and excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Hand-on logistics development experiences in warehouse operations and customer deliveries, preferably in medical device industry.
  • Strong project management experiences in warehouse automation and/or customer delivery projects are preferred.
  • Proven vendor management capabilities and able to work with service provider through strategic partnership.
  • Excellent capability of identifying continuous improvement opportunities and delivering business results
  • Proficient in data analysis and process mapping.
  • Able to work proactively and independently.
  • Knowledge in Oracle or SAP ERP system and WMS systems.
  • Proficient in written and spoken English.

    • Requires 10 to 15 years of related experience in supply chain management, budget management, strategic planning, Customer Service and analysis. Minimum 5-year experiences leading a team of 20+ staff.

    • Specific skills and knowledge required include: extensive knowledge of current logistics best-practice s, strong communication, analytical, problem solving and motivational skills

    • Bachelors degree in related field such as business, finance, logistics or information technology is preferred but not required
