Job Description

The Senior Manager, IT Legal provides strategic and operational leadership for technology solutions supporting the Legal function within Enterprise IT. This role oversees the design, delivery, and ongoing optimization of legal IT platforms and digital capabilities, ensuring alignment with business strategy, compliance requirements, and enterprise architecture standards. The Senior Manager partners closely with Legal leadership, Enterprise Architects, and crossfunctional IT teams to modernize systems, drive innovation, and ensure stable, secure, and scalable operations. In addition to technical leadership, the role is responsible formanaging vendor management,stakeholder management, and governance across IT Legal initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Leadership & Stakeholder Partnership

  • Serve as the primary IT partner to the Legal function, translating legal and regulatory business needs into scalable IT solutions and roadmaps.

  • Collaborate with Legal leadership, Enterprise Architects, and other IT leaders to define strategic priorities and ensure alignment with enterprise technology standards.

  • Provide thought leadership on modern legal technology solutions, automation, and datadriven capabilities to improve efficiency and compliance.

Solution Delivery & Operations

  • Lead the design, implementation, enhancement, and support of Legal IT platforms and related enterprise solutions, including integration with ERP and master data systems.

  • Ensure adherence to development standards, security policies, compliance requirements, and best practices across all Legal IT solutions.

  • Oversee production operations, including incident management, root cause analysis, enhancements, automated testing, andhypercaresupport.

  • Ensure high availability, performance, and reliability of Legal IT systems across global operations.

  • Oversee project and test management activities, ensuring timely delivery, quality outcomes, and clear documentation.

Governance, Risk & Compliance

  • Partner with Legal, Security, and Compliance teams to ensure IT solutions meet regulatory, privacy, and data governance requirements.

  • Establish and enforce governance models for solution design, change management, and vendor engagement within the Legal IT domain.

Innovation & Continuous Improvement

  • Drive exploration and adoption of emerging technologies, including AIenabled legal tools, automation, and analytics, to solve complex business challenges.

  • Lead prototyping and proofofconcept initiatives, evaluatingtradeoffsand benefits of proposed solutions.

  • Promote continuous improvement through process optimization, automation, and platform modernization.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related discipline (Master’sdegree preferred).

  • 5+ years of experience in IT, with progressively increasing responsibility in enterprise application delivery and support.

  • Strong understanding of Legal, compliance, contract management, or related enterprise domains.

  • Indepth knowledge of SAP (any module), Legal tech platforms, or Master Data Management.

  • Experience with databases such as SQL, Oracle, or SAP HANA.

  • Exposure to AI, ML, automation, or advanced analytics in enterprise or legal technology contexts.

  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office and enterprise collaboration tools.

  • Strong analytical, problemsolving, and decisionmaking skills.

  • Relevant technology certifications (SAP, Cloud, or Enterprise Platforms,Project Management, Agile, or ITIL certification)

  • Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and influencing skills, including interaction with senior leaders.

United States of America: 152,000 USD - 178,300 USD

Base pay offered may vary depending on geography, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. A full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the position, is offered.
