Job Description

The Role

We are seeking an experienced IT Project Manager to lead delivery for our Digital Operations initiatives. This role is ideal for an experienced delivery-focused leader experienced managing complex technology programs across UI, API, cloud, and workflow platforms. You will drive end-to-end execution across cross-functional teams, ensuring high-quality, secure, and scalable solutions are delivered on time and with measurable business impact.

  • Lead the planning, execution, and delivery of complex IT projects, providing cross-functional leadership for global delivery teams and accountability for initiative level project outcomes without formal personnel management responsibilities.
  • Own and lead end-to-end project delivery from initiation through production rollout and stabilization.
  • Build integrated plans, track milestones, and actively manage cross-team dependencies and blockers.
  • Partner with architecture and engineering leads to ensure delivery aligns with target-state technology and security standards.
  • Drive execution transparency through clear governance, status reporting, and escalation management.
  • Coordinate test strategy, release readiness, and production deployment planning with QA and operations.
  • Improve delivery maturity by standardizing practices, dashboards, and metrics across squads.
  • Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.

The Expertise and Skills You Bring

  • 7–10+ years of IT project/program delivery experience, including enterprise-scale application and platform initiatives.
  • Proven success leading cross-functional teams across business, product, engineering, QA, architecture, security, and operations.
  • Strong command of Agile delivery frameworks (Scrum/Kanban), release planning, sprint governance, and dependency management.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage scope, schedule, budget, risks, issues, and executive-level reporting in fast-paced environments.
  • Experience delivering cloud and API-driven programs with modern engineering practices.
  • Strong communication, facilitation, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to align technical and business priorities.
  • Data-driven mindset with experience using KPIs and delivery metrics to improve predictability and outcomes.
  • Experience leading delivery for technology stacks that include:
  • Java (Spring Boot), REST APIs, and microservices
  • Angular/TypeScript or React-based web applications
  • Node.js services
  • AWS cloud services and cloud-native deployment patterns
  • Containerized application delivery
  • Familiarity with workflow/business process platforms (such as Camunda or equivalent BPM/workflow technologies).
  • Working knowledge of CI/CD, automated testing, and DevSecOps practices.
  • Experience coordinating integration across enterprise systems, shared services, and platform teams.
  • Proficiency with project and delivery tooling (for example: Jira, Confluence, Azure DevOps, or similar).
  • Strong risk management and change control discipline in regulated or highly governed environments.

The Team

Our team delivers digital capabilities that support Fidelity Fund and Investment Operations service lines. We build and modernize business workflows, APIs, and user experiences that enable operational efficiency and improved customer outcomes. We work in a highly collaborative environment with engineering, architecture, security, and product partners to execute against a multi-year strategy.
