This role is accountable for identifying, developing, and closing new business opportunities for Visa's portfolio of Issuing and Value-Added Solutions, with a particular focus on platform-agnostic, software, risk, data, and infrastructure solutions. The position is responsible for expanding Visa's footprint beyond traditional card issuance relationships, engaging new client segments and building strategic partnerships across the financial services, fintech, technology, and digital ecosystem.
The ideal candidate will be a highly entrepreneurial sales leader with a strong hunter mindset, capable of creating pipeline from scratch, opening doors with new clients, and driving complex consultative sales cycles from prospecting through contract execution.
Key Responsibilities:
- Own and deliver commercial targets for Visa's portfolio of Issuing and Value-Added Services, with emphasis on agnostic solutions.
- Proactively identify, qualify, and pursue new business opportunities across financial institutions, fintech's, digital players, technology providers, and emerging market participants.
- Develop and execute market penetration strategies to expand Visa's addressable market beyond existing client relationships.
- Build a robust pipeline of greenfield opportunities through prospecting, networking, industry engagement, executive outreach, and ecosystem partnerships.
- Position Visa's software, risk, data, fraud, cloud, banking, and digital solutions as standalone business enablers regardless of payment network affiliation.
- Lead complex consultative sales engagements, including discovery, value proposition development, solution positioning, commercial structuring, pricing, negotiation, and contract closure.
- Engage C-level executives and senior decision-makers to identify strategic business challenges and align Visa solutions to client priorities.
- Partner with product, finance, legal, and regional stakeholders to accelerate opportunity development and revenue growth.
- Develop business cases and revenue models that demonstrate measurable client outcomes and long-term value creation.
- Maintain accurate pipeline forecasting, opportunity management, and sales discipline throughout the deal lifecycle.
- Provide market intelligence on competitive trends, emerging technologies, customer needs, and whitespace opportunities to influence Visa's go-to-market strategy.
Visa requires at least 3 days in office, expectations of these days will be confirmed by your Hiring Manager.
Qualifications
Basic Qualifications:
- 8 or more years of relevant work experience with a Bachelor Degree or at least 5 years of experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or 2 years of work experience with a PhD
Preferred Qualifications:
- 9 or more years of relevant work experience with a Bachelor Degree or 7 or more relevant years of experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or 3 or more years of experience with a PhD
- Proven track record in new business development, hunting, strategic sales, or enterprise solution selling.
- Strong experience originating and closing net-new opportunities rather than primarily managing existing accounts.
- Experience selling software, SaaS, risk solutions, data products, banking technology, cloud services, fraud solutions, consulting services, or digital platforms.
- Demonstrated ability to engage executive buyers and navigate long, complex enterprise sales cycles.
- Entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to operate independently and create opportunities in ambiguous environments.
- Strong commercial acumen, including pricing, deal structuring, business case development, and contract negotiation.
- Experience working across multiple industries and client segments, including financial institutions, fintechs, merchants, technology companies, and digital platforms.
- Deep understanding of the payments, banking, fintech, and digital ecosystem.
- Exceptional communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.
- Track record of consistently exceeding revenue and pipeline generation targets.
