About This Role:

As the Senior Manager of International Payroll, you will lead the payroll operations for an assigned region within our Global Business Services team. Your role involves ensuring timely and accurate payroll delivery while driving issue resolution and maintaining regular communication with stakeholders across various levels. You will support team members in their daily tasks, manage performance, and foster their professional development through coaching. A key aspect of your role will be driving process standardization, documentation, and continuous improvement, ensuring compliance with internal policies and government regulations. Your contributions are vital to the seamless execution of payroll processes, supporting Biogen’s mission of delivering exceptional service to its employees worldwide.

What You’ll Do:

  • Ensure payroll activities are performed timely and accurately for the assigned region.
  • Oversee seamless payroll execution and manage KPIs.
  • Drive issue resolution and manage escalations effectively.
  • Partner with Finance & HR affiliate leads, maintaining regular dialogue to discuss ongoing activities.
  • Manage payroll vendor relationships to optimize payroll processes.
  • Own processes for the assigned region, ensuring standardization and documentation.
  • Act as a Project Manager for selected regional projects.
  • Support team members by managing performance and fostering development.
  • Develop cross-team collaboration and monitor employees' wellbeing.
  • Ensure transactions comply with internal policies and government regulations.

Required Skills:

  • BSc/BA in HR, Finance, Business, or relevant field (MS/MBA preferred).
  • Qualified HR/payroll/finance professional with at least 7 years of operational experience.
  • Proven experience managing payroll across multiple countries and working with international payroll vendors.
  • Minimum 3 years of people leadership experience.
  • Strong background in managing complex global environments.
  • Experience interacting with executives and managing team performance.
  • Highly detail-oriented with the ability to work under tight deadlines.
  • Knowledge of payroll and time & attendance technologies.
  • Excellent interpersonal and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience in delivering a continuous improvement agenda.
  • Experience with analysis of payroll data to identify areas of improvement.

  • This role is in hybrid model of work.

  • Please note that the role requires a candidate to be a holder of work permit & residency in Poland.

The base compensation range for this role is: zł207,000.00-zł285,000.00
