Reports To:
In this role you’ll work directly for the Vice President, Human Resources, ETS and closely with the Group Head of Communications, Spirax Group plc.

Location: Cheltenham, UK

The Role:

Electric Thermal Solutions (ETS) is seeking a Senior Manager, Internal Communications to help lead and execute internal communications across our global organisation. This role will help translate ETS priorities, transformation activity, culture and business performance into clear, relevant and engaging communications that help colleagues understand what matters, why it matters and how their work contributes.

Working closely with the Vice President of Human Resources, the ETS leadership team, functional leaders and Group Communications, the Senior Manager will drive the execution of the internal communications strategy and play a key role in improving the effectiveness of communication across ETS. This includes supporting leaders to communicate with greater clarity, consistency and impact; helping prioritise and sequence communication activity to reduce noise and improve cut-through, maximise the use of internal channels and ensure communications are aligned with Group-wide campaigns, while remaining relevant to ETS colleagues.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Support development and execution of the ETS internal communications strategy
  • Translate business priorities and organizational changes into effective communication plans
  • Create leadership communications, presentations, articles, newsletters and colleague updates.
  • Manage and improve internal communication channels and digital platforms.
  • Partner with leaders and Group Communications to ensure consistent messaging.
  • Support change management and transformation initiatives.
  • Track communication effectiveness and recommend improvements.
  • Promote two-way communication and colleague engagement.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor degree in Communications, Marketing, Journalism, HR, Business or related field
  • Extensive experience and proven track record in an internal or corporate communications role ideally within a complex, global or matrixed organisation
  • Strong writing, editing and storytelling skills, with the ability to make complex topics easy to understand
  • Experience developing and delivering communication plans, campaigns and content across a range of channels
  • Confidence supporting leaders with communications, including preparing messages, talking points, presentations and colleague updates
  • Strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to build trusted relationships and provide practical communications advice
  • Good planning and prioritisation skills, with the ability to manage multiple activities and sequence communications effectively
  • Comfortable using feedback, channel insight and simple measures to assess what is working and identify improvements

  • Communications are well planned, prioritised and sequenced to be timely and effective
  • ETS messaging is aligned with Group narrative, campaigns when remaining focused on ETS priorities and relevant for ETS colleagues
  • Communication channels are actively utilised and continuously improved based on insight and feedback
  • Communications support successful adoption of business initiatives, including change and culture
