Job Description

[What the role is]

We are looking for a Senior Manager (Interconnection & Access Management) to join IMDA. The candidate will play a key role in implementing IMDA's Code of Practice for Info-communication Facilities in Buildings (COPIF), facilitating mobile network operators in their infrastructure deployment, and working closely with agencies and building owners to support the rollout of 5G and future telecommunications technologies across Singapore.

[What you will be working on]

  • Work with telecom operators and building owners to implement COPIF for operators' deployment, including engaging difficult building owners and MCSTs on-site to explain requirements and resolve differences among parties.
  • Facilitate mobile network operators in their 5G (and future technology) infrastructure deployment, including in road and MRT tunnels and other mega projects.
  • Work with agencies to address concerns pertaining to mobile deployments, and regularly review agency processes to drive improvements in collaboration with agencies and telecom operators.
  • Lead a team to manage operational matters and continuously improve operational outcomes, while thinking strategically to identify and implement process enhancements.

[What we are looking for]

  • Background in Telecommunications or Engineering preferred, with at least a bachelor's degree from a recognised university.
  • Minimally 10 years of working experience, preferably in the telecommunications industry, with at least 3–5 years of supervisory experience. Experience in site acquisition and knowledge of COPIF are advantageous.
  • Strong stakeholder engagement and rapport-building skills, with demonstrated ability to work effectively with telecom operators, agencies, and building owners.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with strong persuasion and negotiation abilities, particularly in resolving differences among diverse stakeholders.
  • Independent, analytical, and able to work with minimal supervision while leading a team towards strong operational and strategic outcomes.
