In this role, you'll:
Join the Rail Operations’ Network Operations team and this role will see you lead and support the rail network service response capability, function and team to triage and manage critical rail network incident responses though the application and implementation of coordinated Command and Control strategies and plans that have safety and the customer at the centre of all decision making.
You will leverage specialist rail operations knowledge and apply critical thinking to effectively inform and coordinate actions of Incident Rail Commanders, Emergency Services, Engineering and Maintenance, Rollingstock, Incident Management and Service Recovery teams and other relevant stakeholders to effectively manage crises and incident responses.

About you
You will be a proactive and collaborative leader with extensive experience in incident management within rail or a similar industry, and will have experience coaching, mentoring and uplifting the capability of large dispersed teams.
You have a robust demonstratable strong knowledge and application of operational crisis, emergency and incident management frameworks and managing critical transport response teams.
You will have extensive operations leadership experience and ideally knowledge in rail operations functions.
You will have a passion for continuous improvement, highly advanced stakeholder management skills and the experience to navigate through government processes and drive performance in a customer driven, complex, politically sensitive environment.
You will also have Competency in Safely Access the Rail Corridor (SARC).
