About the Role

As Senior Manager - Hydrology, you will be the strategic and technical leader driving the success of our Hydrology and Hydraulics engineering team. This role combines hands-on expertise with visionary leadership to deliver innovative solutions for renewable energy projects. You’ll shape long-term plans, mentor top talent, and ensure excellence across design, operations, and client engagement; positioning ANS as a trusted partner in sustainable infrastructure. 

WHAT YOU'LL DO

• Senior Manager– Hydrology & Stormwater will be the hydraulic engineering lead on multi-discipline projects requiring stormwater design and is intended to interact directly with our clients and internal staff alike.
• Coordinate with the civil, geotechnical, and structural engineering teams. This role leads technical resources for the civil engineering H&H organization and is involved with many projects and clients on a high-level and mentors project engineers.
• The role requires strong technical skills in Hydraulics and Hydrology Engineering design including Regional and Local storm modeling, stormwater management design oversight and similar stormwater related design aspects. Provide technical leadership for staff that utilize HEC-RAS 2D hydraulic modeling for results that include flood depth, velocity, and pier scour..
• This role also includes mentoring staff members in both H&H and general stormwater design. Including QA/QC of stormwater models, calculations, and methodologies.
• Culvert and Bridge modeling.
• Review and supervise calculations performed by others to ensure quality standards are met to stamp construction drawings and reports.

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

• A bachelor’s degree in engineering is required 
• Professional Engineer required 
• Proficiency in design software such as HEC-RAS, RAS Mapper , HydroCAD.
• QGIS and Civil3D Knowledge is a plus 
• Experience in renewable energy projects such as solar, wind, or battery storage is highly preferred. 
• 12+ years of experience
