We are bridging two worlds, moving towards more sustainable energy sources while helping to provide the energy, chemicals and resources needed now.We are seeking a Senior HSE Manager to provide strategic, operational and technical leadership for health, safety and environment performance across our Australian business. As a key member of the Australian leadership team, you will partner with Major Projects & Programs and Global Operations leaders to drive consistent HSE excellence across projects, offices, construction sites and operational locations. You will also act as a trusted adviser to business leaders, project directors and customers, ensuring HSE, environmental stewardship and critical risk management are embedded throughout project and operational delivery. In addition, you will be the key HSE leader for our project delivery leaders providing high level HSE support for major projects across the Resources sector. What you will doProvide visible, practical HSE leadership across Worley's Australian operations and champion a culture of care, learning, accountability and operational discipline. Lead the implementation of global, regional and Australian HSE strategies, objectives and improvement priorities.Partner with project and operational leaders to strengthen HSE performance across major projects, programs and long-term site-based services.Build trusted relationships with customer executives, HSE leaders and site representatives, representing Worley in reviews, audits, tenders and leadership forums.Maintain a regular and purposeful presence across Australian project and operational sites, verifying that critical controls are effectively implemented in the field.Lead the continued improvement of Worley's HSE Management System and oversee an Australia-wide, risk-based assurance and audit program.Provide senior oversight of significant incident investigations and ensure corrective actions address underlying causes and deliver sustained improvement.Lead, coach and connect HSE professionals across Australia, strengthening capability, succession and consistent professional practice.Use performance data, leading indicators, assurance findings and field intelligence to identify emerging risks and focus leadership attention.
What you will bringA degree or recognized tertiary qualification in occupational health and safety, environmental management, engineering or a related discipline.Substantial senior HSE leadership experience within energy, resources, chemicals, infrastructure, mining or another complex industrial sector.Demonstrated experience across both major project delivery and operational or maintenance environments.Strong knowledge of EPCM, construction, contractor management and operational risk.Experience leading geographically dispersed teams across multiple business lines.A proven ability to influence senior executives, project leaders, customers and frontline teams.Working knowledge of Australian HSE legislation and contemporary risk and assurance practices.A postgraduate HSE qualification, diploma or equivalent professional qualification.Flexibility to travel regularly to project, operational and customer sites across Australia.Why you should applyShape HSE performance across one of Worley's most significant operating geographies.Influence complex, high-risk projects and operations across Australia.Work closely with senior business, project and customer leaders.Lead and develop a geographically dispersed community of HSE professionals.Help protect our people, customers, communities, assets and the environment.Moving forward togetherWe want our people to be energized and empowered to drive sustainable impact.
