This role exists to strengthen the financial performance and decision-making of CommBank’s Home Buying business. You’ll provide insight, rigour and commercial challenge to support sustainable growth, strong customer outcomes and confident executive decisions.

You’ll join Retail Banking Services (RBS) Finance, part of Financial Services, partnering closely with the Home Buying business. The team works at pace and with purpose, collaborating across finance and non-finance stakeholders to deliver meaningful impact. This role reports to the Executive Manager, Home Buying Finance, and leads a small team of finance professionals.

Your impact

• Lead the coordination and delivery of core financial processes for the home loans portfolio, including performance reporting, forecasting and financial controls
• Provide high-quality financial modelling and analysis to influence strategic, commercial and operational decisions
• Deliver portfolio-level insights covering business drivers, pricing impacts, campaign initiatives and market dynamics
• Support investment cases, product launches and major initiatives with strong financial discipline
• Provide clear, commercially grounded insights to senior stakeholders, including executive leadership
• Build trusted partnerships across Home Buying and Finance teams
• Lead process improvement, simplification and capability uplift within the finance team
• Foster a customer-focused, high-performing and inclusive team culture

• Strong commercial acumen with the ability to turn complex financial information into clear, decision‑driving insights
• Demonstrated experience partnering with and influencing senior leaders
• Advanced financial modelling and forecasting capability, with strong Excel skills

• Proven people leadership capability, building engaged and high‑performing teams
• Clear and confident communication skills, with the ability to manage priorities and deliver to deadlines
• A strong risk mindset, underpinned by sound judgement and accountability
