The Senior Manager, Group Internal Audit – Technology is a senior specliast role within Singtel Group Internal Audit, responsible for providing independent, objective, and risk-based assurance over Singtel’s technology, cybersecurity, and digital environments..

The Senior Manager leads and delivers complex technology and cybersecurity audit engagement, overseeing audit planning, execution and reporting, and providing robust and evidence-based challenge to key stakeholders. The role contributes to the development of the technology audit plan and ensures audit outcomes are high quality, actionable, and support effective risk management and control improvement. Audit outputs contribute directly to management assurance, Audit Committee reporting, and regulatory disclosures.

Group Internal Audit operates as a key pillar of Singtel’s corporate governance framework and reports functionally to the Singtel Group Audit Committee.

Make an Impact by

  • Lead end-to-end delivery of complex, risk-based technology and cybersecurity audits across Singtel Group.
  • Develop Audit Planning Memorandums (APMs), defining audit objectives, scope, risks, and audit approach.
  • Design and implement audit programs and procedures aligned to Group Internal Audit methodology and professional standards.
  • Assess the design and operating effectiveness of IT general controls, application controls, cybersecurity controls, and technology governance frameworks.
  • Evaluate major technology initiatives and systems under development to ensure appropriate governance, controls, documentation, and security-by-design.
  • Provide independent assurance over cybersecurity risk management, including protection of networks, cloud environments, systems, and sensitive data.
  • Assess compliance with relevant laws, regulations, industry standards, and Singtel policies (e.g. data protection, cybersecurity, technology risk).
  • Identify emerging technology risks and assess Singtel’s control maturity and risk posture.
  • Perform control advisory reviews for significant in-flight programs and strategic initiatives where required.
  • Identify root causes of control deficiencies and develop practical, commercially grounded recommendations.
  • Prepare high-quality audit reports with minimal supervision and ensure alignment and agreement of findings with senior management.
  • Lead audit kick-off and closing meetings with senior executives, ensuring clear communication of objectives, scope, findings, and risk implications.
  • Provide clear, credible challenge to senior stakeholders while maintaining strong professional relationships and audit independence.
  • Escalate significant or high-risk matters to the Audit Director and support Audit Committee reporting.
  • Coach, train, and review the work of less experienced auditors, embedding audit methodology, quality standards, and professional judgement.
  • Provide technical leadership in technology and cybersecurity auditing across the function.
  • Contribute to the development and continuous improvement of technology audit methodology, tools, and practices.
  • Oversee tracking and validation of management action plans and perform follow-up reviews to ensure timely and effective remediation.
  • Support annual audit planning, resource management, and prioritisation of technology audit coverage.
  • Contribute to ad-hoc assignments, investigations, and Audit Committee-related matters as required.
  • Stay current on emerging technology, cybersecurity threats, and industry developments, applying insights to strengthen audit coverage and impact.

Skills for Success

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or related discipline.
  • Professional certification such as CISA, CISSP, CISM, or CIA.
  • Extensive experience in technology audit, IT risk, cybersecurity, or internal audit, preferably within large, complex organisations.
  • Strong understanding of telecommunications, digital platforms, and large-scale technology environments.
  • Proven ability to lead complex audits and engage credibly with senior management.
  • Excellent analytical, report writing, and influencing skills.
  • Have good written and oral communication skills.
  • Be able to work independently
