Job Description

You’re excited about the opportunity to champion change and innovation in Government & Parliamentary services.


This is your opportunity to develop capability, streamline processes and deliver insights that shape strategy.

In this role you'll:

  • Lead capability development across Government & Parliamentary Services (G&PS) by designing training programs that elevate teams understanding of Westminster systems, political dynamics, and stakeholder engagement.
  • Drive business improvements using client focused insights and emerging technologies to streamline processes, boost situational awareness, and enhance service delivery across the G&PS branch.
  • Deliver analytics and intelligence on emerging Government and Parliamentary issues to enable proactive, data-driven decisions for the Secretary, Ministers' Offices, the Transport for NSW Executive Leadership Team and interdepartmental teams.
  • Build strategic partnerships with Learning & Development and Business Intelligence teams to foster knowledge sharing and embed a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Establish standardised ways of working through the development of guidelines, templates, and reference materials that support efficient government processes.
  • Set vision and purpose for your team with a focus on capability uplift, empowerment, and employee engagement to drive high performance and impact.

About You


You're a strategic thinker with demonstrated success in leading enterprise-wide capability building activities across diverse teams.

You excel at translating complex information into clear, actionable insights under tight deadlines. Your leadership approach fosters collaboration, empowers teams, and creates a culture of continuous improvement that delivers high-quality outcomes.


You’re highly skilled in capability development, strategic insights management, and driving process reform in large, fast-paced, politically sensitive environments. You bring strong relationship-building skills and are comfortable influencing at executive levels while maintaining a customer-focused approach that prioritises outcomes.


You excel at identifying trends and leveraging data and emerging technologies, including AI, to drive performance improvement and embed insight-led cultures. You have strong analytical skills, as well as a knack for making the complex simple.

You thrive in environments requiring sound judgment, adaptability, and effective stakeholder engagement while managing competing priorities. An understanding of State Government systems, Ministerial Offices, Parliament, and Machinery of Government will be highly regarded.
