Job Description

You’re ready to apply your government and public administration expertise to a role where strategic partnership, rapid responsiveness and critical thinking are essential to delivering high-quality responses that support Ministers, Parliament and senior Transport leaders.

Be the trusted strategic partner leading end‑to‑end Government Business and Services across Transport.

In this role you’ll:

  • Act as the strategic business partner for your client portfolio, building trusted relationships with leaders and subject matter experts across Transport.
  • Lead the delivery of high quality, timely and politically attuned products for Ministers and Parliament.
  • Manage and develop a high performing team, fostering a client focused and responsive service culture.
  • Provide leadership on critical and sensitive matters, ensuring outputs are accurate, consistent and aligned with Ministerial expectations and government priorities.
  • Lead quality assurance processes and engage stakeholders to uplift clarity, accuracy and completeness.
  • Identify risks, manage shifting priorities and remove bottlenecks to ensure efficient delivery in a fast-paced environment.
  • Drive continuous improvement of workflows, processes and tracking systems to enhance service quality and transparency.

These three roles are full-time Ongoing (Perm) Transport Senior Service Manager TSSM level roles, location will be flexible and to be discussed.

About you

  • You’re an engaging leader with significant experience in strategic relationship management, and you excel at leading high performing teams in fast paced environments.
  • You have a strong track record in end-to-end service delivery and bring excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to translate complex information clearly for Ministers and Executive leaders.
  • Your understanding of government enables you to anticipate issues, manage sensitive matters with discretion and partner effectively with leaders across Transport.
  • You have demonstrated knowledge of the processes underpinning Ministerial and parliamentary engagement, and awareness of political context and audience requirements.
  • You are adaptable in nature and lead by example, driving change and continuous improvement.
  • You’re a strong problem solver with a forward-thinking mindset and the ability to operate confidently in a matrix style environment.
