Job Description

Use Your Power for Purpose

The Senior Manager, Global Transport is a strategic leadership role within Global Transport (GT), responsible for driving transformation across four key pillars: platform ownership and strategy, AI implementation, continuous improvement, and incident response leadership. This role is central to enabling scalable, resilient, and tech-enabled transport operations aligned with the GT Ops NexGen strategy. Through close collaboration with global teams, including the Global Command Center, Transport Solutions & Qualification, and Regional Operations Leads, the Senior Manager ensures that strategic ambitions are translated into tangible outcomes that deliver measurable impact.

Platform Ownership & Strategy.

The Senior Manager will own the end-to-end transport platform strategy, shaping a multi-year roadmap aligned with Global Logistics (GL) and GSC strategic aspirations. This includes gathering and prioritizing inputs from key stakeholders across GT, regions, digital, and business teams, translating needs into a clear platform vision and phased delivery plan. The role will also own strategic relationships with key platform suppliers, ensuring performance, scalability, and innovation are delivered in line with GT needs and value expectations.

AI Implementation for Transport Operations.

As part of the GT Ops NexGen initiatives, the Senior Manager will lead the implementation of AI-driven solutions that enhance platform capabilities, visibility, connectivity, and operational efficiency. This includes overseeing specific workstreams related to strategic AI partners and integration with In-Transit Visibility and core transport platforms. From decision-making to deployment, the role will collaborate with digital, data, and logistics teams to embed AI into core transport processes and platforms. The Senior Manager will monitor adoption, performance, and ROI to ensure solutions are scalable and aligned with business priorities.

Continuous Improvement & Transformation Leadership. A colleague’s key responsibility will be to establish and mature CI governance and tracking mechanisms, ensuring initiatives are well-prioritized, monitored, and aligned with strategic goals. Acting as a strategic connector, the role will align efforts across Regional Operations Leads, the Global Command Center, Transport Solutions & Qualification, and PCT teams.

Incident Response Leadership

The Senior Manager will play a critical role in strengthening the organization’s ability to respond to transport-related incidents and disruptions. Working in close partnership with the Global Command Center, this role will help design and implement standardized response protocols that ensure timely stakeholder engagement and coordinated action during high-impact events.

Additional responsibilities include managing cross-functional contributions, overseeing project budgets and platform vendor relationships, and integrating emerging technologies into the CI and platform roadmap to support sustainable operational excellence.
