Sustainable Operations helps LEGO® factories reduce environmental impact across energy, CO2, water and waste, from first idea to live production. In this role, you'll connect engineering, design and site colleagues so sustainability by design becomes a brick in every equipment decision.

Core Responsibilities

  • Influence technology choices and machine design to embed carbon, energy, water, and waste reduction from the outset

  • Set sustainability performance criteria across Technology platforms and develop roadmaps for efficient equipment and processes that reduce energy, carbon, water, and waste.

  • Build feedback loops between manufacturing data and design teams to improve future specifications.

  • Define governance and decision rights so sustainable design processes are established, owned, and followed across equipment design and manufacturing.

  • Partner with key equipment suppliers to unlock emerging sustainability technologies and embed them into Equipment Technology roadmapss

  • Own the link between Sustainability and R&D & Technology teams and drive effective collaboration

Do you have what it takes?

  • Bachelor/master’s degree in environmental, engineering or equivalent experience.

  • Experience guiding sustainability projects across global manufacturing or operations settings.

  • Experience in manufacturing and/or engineering environments, with a proven track record of delivering projects in such settings

  • Comfortable preparing clear communication materials for senior leaders and technical partners.

  • Understanding of Science Based Targets and emerging energy technologies in production contexts.

  • Change management and influencing of stakeholders within a matrix organisation

Nice to Have:

  • LEGO Platform/Equipment design experience

  • Master of business administration would be an added advantage

  • Advanced English for international collaboration.

  • Experience in moulding and packaging machine research & development and design would be an added advantage

The position is based in Billund, DK and relocation support is not offered for this role.
