As a Senior Manager - Global Automotive Credit, you will apply sound credit judgement and effective challenge to support prudent credit adjudication, strong portfolio oversight, and a disciplined risk culture. You will partner with Banking and key stakeholders to provide balanced risk perspectives, identify emerging risks, and contribute to sound business decisions within the Bank's risk appetite, policies, and standards.
Is this role right for you? In this role, you will:
- Adjudicate and/or recommend credit requests within assigned authorities, ensuring decisions are well supported and aligned with the Bank's risk appetite, policies, and standards, while meeting established service level agreements and credit adjudication turnaround expectations.
- Assess financial and non-financial risks, assign and monitor borrower risk ratings, and develop accurate client risk profiles that support proactive risk management.
- Monitor portfolio performance, early warning indicators, covenants, KPIs, industry developments, and market trends to identify emerging concerns and recommend timely risk mitigation strategies.
- Partner with Banking as a trusted advisor, providing balanced risk perspectives, effective challenge, and timely credit decisions that support the client experience and maintain strong credit discipline.
- Maintain effective governance and business controls across assigned activities, including regulatory compliance, operational risk, AML/ATF, conduct risk, and the integrity of critical GRM data elements.
- Drive process innovation, digitization, and continuous improvement initiatives that enhance credit decision quality, operational efficiency, and the stakeholder experience.
- Promote a culture of risk awareness, accountability, and client focus while coaching, developing, and mentoring team members to build capability, engagement, and succession strength.
Do you have the skills that will enable you to succeed? We’d love to work with you if you have experience with:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in financial analysis, credit adjudication, or commercial/corporate credit risk management.
- Post-secondary education in business or a related field.
- Strong credit judgement with extensive experience in complex financial analysis, risk assessment, credit structuring, collateral/security documentation, and related lending policies and procedures.
- Demonstrated ability to administer a Commercial and/or Corporate credit portfolio and apply sound portfolio management discipline, while balancing credit quality requirements with service level commitments.
- Strong communication, negotiation, and problem-resolution skills, with the ability to produce clear, concise, and professional credit replies, presentations, and correspondence.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize work effectively and deliver high-quality outcomes in a timely manner.
