Senior Manager – Business Development – Freight Forwarding

The Senior Manager – Business Development is a key driver of growth across our Freight division, focused on developing new customers, expanding into new geographies, and increasing our share of wallet with existing clients.

About the Role

How you will contribute:

• Develop and execute plans to win new business and grow existing accounts.
• Generate leads and opportunities, ideally leveraging your existing network and book of business.
• Meet and exceed financial growth targets across DP World’s service portfolio.
• Build strong relationships with decision-makers at all levels within client organisations.
• Understand customer expectations and proactively offer solutions before issues arise.
• Analyse client businesses strategically, operationally, and financially to tailor solutions.
• Stay up to date on transport regulations, market trends, and competitive challenges.
• Maintain a robust pipeline of opportunities and increase win probability.
• Collaborate with Global and Regional Account Managers to share best practices.
• Lead RFQs and contract negotiations, owning the commercial relationship.
• Represent DP World with professionalism and integrity, promoting our values and safety standards.
• Support internal projects and perform other duties as needed.

What you will bring

Qualifications

• Significant international freight expertise.
• Proven track record of consistently meeting sales quotas at scale.

Experience

• 10+ years in transport, logistics, or freight forwarding, with a focus on international freight.
• Strong value-selling experience and existing book of business.
• Experience leading teams and collaborating across cultures.
• Contract Logistics experience is a plus.
