We’re looking for an experienced financial crime leader to join us and lead our Intelligence & Insights capability across fraud, scams and AML analytics.
This role is ideal for a strategic and commercially minded leader who thrives in complex, fast-moving environments, enjoys working with highly analytical teams, and is passionate about staying ahead of emerging financial crime threats.
This role is based in Auckland.
Mō te tūranga | About the Role
Reporting to the Head of Customer Care Operations within our Transformation and Customer Operations business unit, this role leads a specialist Intelligence & Insights function spanning advanced analytics, fraud and scams analytics, and internal reporting.
You’ll be responsible for driving high-quality intelligence and insights to inform financial crime strategy, while leading a team of senior leaders and partnering closely with Executive stakeholders.
Key responsibilities include:
Leading and developing a high-performing team of leaders across analytics and insights functions
Delivering accurate, timely intelligence to inform financial crime strategy and decision-making
Driving continuous improvement across fraud, scams and AML analytics capabilities
Providing insights and reporting to senior stakeholders, including Executive and Board-level forums
Building strong relationships across the business, regulators and industry to stay ahead of emerging risks

You’ll bring strong senior leadership experience, with the ability to lead leaders and influence at the highest levels, alongside deep financial crime expertise.
We’re looking for someone with:
Proven experience in financial crime (fraud, scams, AML or related areas)
Demonstrated senior leadership experience – this is a leader of leaders role
Experience working with highly analytical or data-driven teams
Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills, including at Executive level
A strategic mindset with the ability to translate complex insights into meaningful outcomes
Sound commercial judgement and decision-making capability
A collaborative, outcomes-focused leadership style
Curiosity and a passion for understanding and addressing emerging financial crime trends
