Purpose of the Role

We are looking for a Senior Manager, Financial Control to join McLaren Racing on an 18-month fixed-term contract. Supporting the Head of Financial Control, this role will play a key part in strengthening financial control, technical accounting and statutory reporting during a period of significant business and ERP transformation.

You will take ownership of the month-end reporting process across multiple McLaren Group entities, ensuring accurate, timely and well-controlled financial reporting. This is a highly visible role that combines technical accounting expertise, audit and statutory reporting leadership, process improvement and team management to help drive high standards of financial performance and governance across the business.

Qualifications

What You'll Do

  • Lead month-end close and reporting activities, ensuring accurate financial results, robust balance sheet control and insightful performance analysis.
  • Oversee statutory reporting, annual accounts preparation and external audits for McLaren Racing and its subsidiaries, ensuring all submissions are compliant and delivered on time.
  • Act as the senior technical accounting specialist, providing guidance on complex transactions and ensuring consistent application of accounting standards and policies.
  • Drive financial control, governance and compliance improvements, including process documentation, control frameworks, risk mitigation and regulatory reporting requirements.
  • Support finance transformation initiatives, partner with stakeholders across the business, and lead, coach and develop members of the Financial Control team.

Additional Information

What You'll Bring

  • ACA or ACCA qualification with experience in financial accounting, reporting and financial control within industry and/or practice.
  • Strong understanding of statutory reporting, audit management, UK accounting standards, tax compliance and technical accounting matters.
  • Experience managing complex financial transactions, balance sheet integrity, cash flow and working capital performance.
  • Proven ability to drive process improvement, strengthen controls and support finance systems or ERP transformation initiatives.
  • Strong analytical, stakeholder management and communication skills, with advanced Excel and financial systems experience.
