What you will be doing:
Proactive leadership driving financial discipline to meet commercial and financial objectives while maintaining strong internal controls and compliance at the local level
Work closely with ASEAN finance teams and commercial leaders to ensure business continuity (invoicing and collecting of A/R; ensuring financial systems are running properly and record transactions properly)
Lead the team recording the financial books and records for countries within the ASEAN region
Develop accurate forecasts and an annual budget
Develop and implement financial strategies to support the region’s growth and productivity objectives.
Anticipate business trends, assess risks and recommend alternative solutions and contingency plans to ensure meeting financial and business objectives.
Provide information and analysis in the form of options for clear and swift decision making.
Drive appropriate differentiation in resource allocation.
Drive productivity through the identification of possible opportunities and gaining acceptance across the matrix.
Build breakthrough business analysis financial models for evaluating business opportunities and resource allocation.
Effectively communicate across cultures and geographies to achieve financial and business objectives.
Manage & develop finance teams across ASEAN
Recommend and implement plans to improve cash flow
Ability to negotiate and influence others to achieve the best financial deals for the organization
Ability to develop strong working relationships with external entities such as banks, accountants and customers (dealers).
Who are we looking for:
BA in Business Administration/Accounting or equivalent
Strong understanding of USGAAP and/or IFRS required
Risk management and internal control experience
Qualified CPA or equivalent preferred
Experience in medical devices or pharmaceuticals a plus
Creating, evaluating and analysing financial models to determine best options
Very strong interpersonal and communication skills (written and verbal)
Self-motivated with the ability to work to agreed deadlines
5-10 years working in finance role with increasing responsibilities and proven output
