Schwab is currently embarking on a transformation of our data risk and governance program, and finance data is at the center of this effort. As a Manager of Data Risk and Data Governance within Finance, you will play a critical leadership role in strengthening Schwab’s enterprise data risk posture across Treasury, Finance, Regulatory Reporting, and related risk domains. This role is accountable for driving the design, execution, and adoption of data governance and data risk management practices that ensure the integrity, consistency, and regulatory defensibility of finance data used for decision‑making, reporting, and risk management.
You will partner closely with Finance, Treasury, Technology, and Enterprise Risk teams to identify, assess, and remediate data risks, translating regulatory expectations and enterprise data standards into practical, sustainable operating processes This role requires a strong balance of strategic thinking and hands‑on leadership—shaping data governance frameworks while actively enabling teams to embed controls, stewardship, and accountability into day‑to‑day finance operations. These solutions will require embracing the full utilization of emerging governance technologies that cover data integrity throughout the data journey.
In this role, you will act as a trusted leader and subject‑matter expert for finance data risk, influencing across organizational boundaries to drive alignment to a shared data vision. You will oversee dependencies across systems and data domains, guide prioritization of data risk initiatives, and ensure that governance outcomes directly support Schwab’s strategic objectives, regulatory commitments, and risk appetite.
