Role Purpose

Lead Funko’s trade and fan events across EMEA and APAC, ensuring the business delivers high-quality events that strengthen commercial relationships, showcase the brand well, and create engaging experiences for fans.

Funko role summary

  • This role is responsible for planning and delivering Funko’s regional event programme across EMEA and APAC.
  • The role covers both trade-facing and fan-facing events, including trade shows, retailer/customer events, comic cons, conventions and other branded experiences.
  • The focus is on delivering events to a high standard, improving how Funko shows up in-market, and ensuring the fan experience is considered in event planning and execution.

What You’ll Do:

  • Own the end-to-end planning and delivery of Funko’s event calendar across EMEA and APAC.
  • Lead the execution of trade events, customer events, comic cons, fan conventions and other priority activations.
  • Build event plans that support commercial, brand and regional marketing priorities.
  • Work with sales, marketing, creative, product, logistics, social, PR and retail teams to align event plans and deliverables.
  • Develop event briefs, timelines, budgets, production plans and on-site operating plans.
  • Manage event agencies, suppliers, organisers and external partners, ensuring clear briefs, strong delivery and budget control.
  • Oversee venue, stand, staffing, travel, stock, shipping, merchandising and operational requirements for each event.
  • Ensure Funko’s event presence is well presented, best in class, on-brand and consistent across all markets.
  • Work with internal teams to create engaging fan experiences, including content opportunities, product moments and fan touchpoints.
  • Help shape event concepts that celebrate fandom and improve the overall attendee experience.
  • Support stock planning, holding and delivery for both consumer and trade shows throughout the year; creating an inventory schedule to ensure stocks are present at the events.
  • Ensure where appropriate the involvement, sign off and approvals for licensors across all creative work, displays and graphics
  • Track budgets and manage spend responsibly, providing regular updates to stakeholders.
  • Define event goals and measure results including attendance, engagement, partner feedback, product sales commercial outcomes and post-event learnings.
  • Creation and execution of a partnership best in class guide, providing clear guidance, creative executions, commercial expectations and assets to help deliver exceptional trade and fan events in their markets.
  • Lead post-event reviews and recommend improvements to raise the quality and effectiveness of future events.
  • Travel as required to support planning meetings, site visits and on-site event delivery.

What You’ll Bring:

  • Able to manage a high volume of detail while keeping sight of the bigger objective for the event.
  • Strong communicator who can work effectively across functions and with external partners.
  • Commercially aware and able to balance brand impact, fan experience and budget discipline.
  • Proactive, organised and comfortable working in a fast-moving environment.
  • Good judgement on what makes an event feel premium, engaging and relevant to fans.
  • Excellent project manager with strong attention to detail
  • Creative flair creating distinctive and memorable experiences for our fans

Experience required

  • Strong experience in event management, experiential marketing or brand activations.
  • Experience delivering both trade events and consumer-facing events.
  • Experience managing multiple events across different countries or regions.
  • Experience managing budgets, agencies, vendors and event organisers
  • Strong project management and stakeholder management skills.
  • Clear communicator and excellent collaboration skills.
  • Experience working in toys, entertainment, licensing, gaming, pop culture or consumer products is preferred
