Build the Future of Enterprise Product & AI at NFC

NFC is embarking on an exciting phase of organizational transformation to improve outcomes for children, educators and families through Product, Innovation and Artificial Intelligence (AI).

As part of this journey, we are establishing a new Enterprise Product, Innovation & AI function to move beyond delivering projects towards building scalable products, reusable organizational capabilities and measurable business outcomes.

This is a rare opportunity to help build that capability from the ground up.

Reporting to the Head, AI & Innovation, you'll work across senior leadership, business units, Technology teams and external partners to shape how the organization identifies opportunities, prioritizes investments and scales strategic products and AI capabilities across the enterprise.

Alongside your enterprise responsibilities, you'll also lead a portfolio of strategic products within Curriculum & Child Support, translating enterprise thinking into practical solutions that improve educator productivity and outcomes for children and families.

As one of the founding members of NFC's Enterprise Product, Innovation & AI function, you'll play a key role in establishing capabilities that shape how the organization innovates and delivers value over the long term.

This includes helping to build:

• Enterprise product management practices that connect organizational strategy, investment and execution.

• An enterprise AI operating model that enables responsible, scalable and sustainable AI adoption.

• Portfolio governance and benefits realization practices that strengthen investment decisions and measurable business outcomes.

• Reusable AI capabilities, enterprise knowledge assets and common product standards that accelerate delivery across multiple business domains.

• Strategic AI-enabled products that improve educator productivity, organizational capability and outcomes for children and families.

• Strong partnerships across business units, Technology teams, government agencies, Institutes of Higher Learning and the broader innovation ecosystem.

What You'll Do

Reporting to the Head, AI & Innovation, your role spans both enterprise transformation and strategic product leadership.

Enterprise Product Strategy & Portfolio

You'll help shape NFC's enterprise product strategy by:

• Developing enterprise product strategies and roadmaps aligned to organizational priorities.

• Coordinating enterprise portfolios to strengthen capability reuse, reduce duplication and improve investment decisions.

• Preparing strategic papers, business cases and executive reporting to support enterprise governance and decision-making.

Enterprise AI Strategy & Business Enablement

You'll help coordinate NFC's enterprise AI agenda by:

• Identifying and prioritizing AI opportunities that improve organizational capability, productivity and service delivery.

• Strengthening enterprise AI governance, reusable capabilities and responsible AI practices.

• Supporting organization-wide AI adoption and enterprise AI maturity.

Enterprise Advisory & Transformation

You'll partner closely with senior business leaders to:

• Translate business priorities into scalable enterprise products and capabilities.

• Facilitate strategic discovery, business case development and operating model design.

• Bridge enterprise strategy with technology delivery to enable successful transformation.

Product Leadership

You'll lead a portfolio of strategic products within Curriculum & Child Support by:

• Defining product vision, priorities and roadmaps.

• Driving adoption and continuous improvement using educator insights and evidence.

• Embedding enterprise product practices and AI capabilities that improve educator productivity and child outcomes.

Strategic Partnerships

You'll help strengthen NFC's innovation ecosystem by:

• Building partnerships across government agencies, Institutes of Higher Learning, technology partners and industry.

• Identifying strategic funding and collaboration opportunities.

• Supporting additional strategic initiatives as the Enterprise Product, Innovation & AI function continues to evolve.

What Success Looks Like

Within your first year, you'll have helped establish stronger enterprise product management practices, improved enterprise AI coordination, strengthened portfolio governance and influenced strategic investment decisions across the organisation.

You'll also have delivered measurable value through strategic products that improve educator experience and organisational capability.

Most importantly, you'll have helped establish Product, Innovation and AI as enduring enterprise capabilities that continue creating value well beyond individual initiatives.

This role is suited to someone who enjoys operating at the intersection of enterprise strategy, product management, innovation and organizational transformation.

You enjoy working in ambiguity, thinking systematically and building new organizational capabilities from the ground up.

You understand that technology is an enabler, not the outcome and that successful products are ultimately measured by the value they create for people and organizations.

You're equally comfortable engaging senior executives, facilitating strategic conversations, influencing stakeholders and partnering Technology teams to translate ideas into practical outcomes.

Above all, you're motivated by creating lasting organizational impact rather than simply delivering projects.

Qualifications & Experience

We're looking for someone with approximately 8–12 years' experience across enterprise strategy, product management, business transformation, innovation, AI enablement or related disciplines.

You'll ideally bring experience in several of the following:

• Leading complex cross-functional initiatives.

• Developing enterprise strategies, business cases and product roadmaps.

• Driving product adoption and organizational change.

• Partnering business and Technology teams to shape digital or AI-enabled solutions.

• Measuring organizational outcomes, benefits realization and investment value.

• Influencing senior stakeholders within complex organizational environments.

A Bachelor's degree in Business, Technology, Information Systems, Engineering, Education or a related discipline is expected. Postgraduate qualifications or certifications in Product Management, Agile, Design Thinking, Change Management or related disciplines will be advantageous.
