Job Description

Build the Future of Enterprise Product & AI at NFC

NFC is embarking on an exciting phase of organizational transformation to improve outcomes for children, educators and families through Product, Innovation and Artificial Intelligence (AI).

As part of this journey, we are establishing a new Enterprise Product, Innovation & AI function to strengthen organizational capability, accelerate innovation and enable responsible AI adoption across the organization.

Reporting to the Head, AI & Innovation, you'll work with senior leaders, business units, Technology teams and external partners to help establish the operating models, organizational capabilities and practices that enable Product, Innovation and AI to scale across NFC.

Alongside your enterprise responsibilities, you'll also lead a portfolio of strategic products and innovation initiatives within Curriculum & Child Support, translating enterprise capabilities into practical improvements for educators and children.

If you're energized by building organizational capability, enabling innovation and helping people adopt new ways of working, we'd love to hear from you.

Why This Role Matters

Technology alone does not transform organizations.

Transformation happens when organizations build the capabilities, ways of working and culture that enable innovation to thrive.

At NFC, Product, Innovation and AI are intended to become enterprise capabilities that strengthen how we design services, support educators and continuously improve outcomes for children and families.

This role exists to help build those capabilities, ensuring innovation becomes part of how the organization operates rather than a collection of standalone initiatives.

What You'll Have the Opportunity to Build

As one of the founding members of NFC's Enterprise Product, Innovation & AI function, you'll help shape the organizational foundations that support long-term innovation and transformation.

This includes helping to establish:

  • Enterprise product and innovation practices that strengthen organizational capability.

  • Operating models, governance approaches and AI adoption practices that enable innovation to scale.

  • Enterprise knowledge management, reusable assets and Communities of Practice that accelerate organizational learning.

  • Strategic products and innovation initiatives that improve educator productivity and child outcomes.

  • Strong partnerships across business units, Technology teams and the broader innovation ecosystem.

What You'll Do

Reporting to the Head, AI & Innovation, your role spans enterprise capability development, organizational transformation and strategic product leadership.

Enterprise Capability & Operating Model

You'll help strengthen NFC's enterprise capability by:

  • Developing and evolving enterprise product and innovation operating practices.

  • Creating practical frameworks, playbooks and guidance that support business-led adoption.

  • Supporting consistent approaches to Product, Innovation and AI across the organization.

Innovation, AI & Organizational Capability

You'll help accelerate innovation by:

  • Leading initiatives that strengthen organizational capability in Product, Innovation and AI.

  • Identifying opportunities to improve organizational effectiveness through innovation and AI.

  • Supporting responsible AI adoption, capability development and continuous improvement.

Knowledge Management & Organizational Learning

You'll help build organizational learning by:

  • Establishing enterprise knowledge management practices and reusable knowledge assets.

  • Developing playbooks, prompt libraries and Communities of Practice that encourage collaboration and knowledge sharing.

  • Capturing and sharing organizational learning that strengthens enterprise capability.

Product Leadership

You'll lead a portfolio of strategic products and innovation initiatives within Curriculum & Child Support by:

  • Driving product discovery, roadmap planning and continuous improvement.

  • Working closely with educators, curriculum specialists and Technology teams to deliver meaningful outcomes.

  • Embedding enterprise capabilities and AI practices that improve educator productivity and child outcomes.

Change, Adoption & Partnerships

You'll help maximize organizational impact by:

  • Developing adoption and change strategies that strengthen business value.

  • Building partnerships across government agencies, Institutes of Higher Learning, technology partners and industry.

  • Supporting strategic initiatives as the Enterprise Product, Innovation & AI function continues to evolve.

What Success Looks Like

Within your first year, you'll have helped establish stronger enterprise capability through practical frameworks, operating practices and knowledge assets that improve innovation and AI adoption across NFC.

You'll also have delivered measurable value through strategic products and innovation initiatives that improve educator adoption, organizational effectiveness and child outcomes.

Most importantly, you'll have helped establish Product, Innovation and AI as enduring organizational capabilities that continue creating value beyond individual initiatives.

Who We're Looking For

This role is suited to someone who enjoys building organizational capability, enabling innovation and helping people adopt new ways of working.

You're naturally curious, collaborative and comfortable working in ambiguity. You understand that sustainable transformation is achieved through people, processes and organizational capability and not by technology alone.

You're equally comfortable engaging senior stakeholders, influencing change and partnering business and Technology teams to translate ideas into practical outcomes.

Above all, you're motivated by building capabilities that create lasting organizational impact.

Qualifications & Experience

We're looking for someone with approximately 8–12 years' experience across product management, innovation, organisational development, enterprise transformation, AI enablement or related disciplines.

You'll ideally bring experience in:

  • Building organizational capabilities, operating models or enterprise frameworks.

  • Leading cross-functional innovation or transformation initiatives.

  • Driving product adoption and organizational change.

  • Developing capability frameworks, playbooks or knowledge assets.

  • Partnering business and Technology teams to deliver measurable organisational outcomes.

A Bachelor's degree in Business, Technology, Information Systems, Education, Organisational Development or a related discipline is expected. Postgraduate qualifications or professional certifications in Product Management, Agile, Design Thinking, Change Management or related disciplines will be advantageous.

Leadership Attributes

We're looking for someone who demonstrates:

  • Enterprise and systems thinking.

  • Strong stakeholder engagement and influencing skills.

  • Structured problem-solving and sound judgement.

  • Curiosity, adaptability and a continuous learning mindset.

  • A collaborative leadership style with a passion for building organisational capability and delivering measurable organisational outcomes.
