Job Description

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Senior Manager, Enterprise Content Management to lead the strategy, delivery, and ongoing evolution of the firm’s enterprise content, document management, compliance, search, and collaboration platforms within our talented Applications Development & Enterprise Systems group.

This key role will serve as both a strategic leader and hands-on technology manager responsible for the firm’s document and matter content ecosystem. The Senior Manager, Enterprise Content Manager position oversees iManage and related systems such as security walls, matter team management, activity tracking, threat monitoring, and ancillary document management tools, while also leading roadmap and support efforts for risk and compliance systems, enterprise search, precedent management, and SharePoint Online content solutions.

The ideal candidate will bring deep experience with enterprise content and legal technology platforms, strong operational and technical leadership, and a practical understanding of how attorneys and business professionals manage and collaborate on information in a complex law firm environment.

RESPONSIBILITIES

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Leads the strategy, roadmap, support, and operational management of the firm’s enterprise content management ecosystem;
  • Oversees iManage and related platforms supporting document management, workspace governance, security, ethical walls, matter lifecycle management, and content collaboration;
  • Provides leadership for related systems including compliance platforms, enterprise search, precedent management, and SharePoint Online content solutions;
  • Partners with Information Security, Records, Knowledge Management, Risk, and business stakeholders to ensure systems are secure, compliant, scalable, and aligned with firm objectives;
  • Drives improvements in usability, automation, metadata quality, searchability, governance, and user experience;
  • Manages vendor relationships, platform upgrades, integrations, support processes, and strategic initiatives;
  • Leads and develops a team responsible for administration, support, and enhancement of enterprise content platforms;
  • Ensure systems meet firm and client requirements for confidentiality, governance, auditability, and operational resilience; and
  • Performs other duties, as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

CANDIDATE QUALIFICATIONS (REQUIRED)

  • A minimum of 10 years’ experience managing enterprise content management, document management, or legal technology platforms in a law firm or similarly complex professional services environment;
  • Deep experience with iManage or comparable document management systems;
  • Experience with enterprise collaboration, compliance, governance, and search platforms;
  • Strong understanding of information governance, security controls, ethical walls, records management, and matter-centric workflows;
  • Proven leadership experience managing teams, vendors, projects, and enterprise platforms;
  • Strong communication, stakeholder management, and problem-solving skills; and
  • Ability to work additional hours, as needed.

ADDITIONAL EXPERIENCE (PREFERRED)

  • Experience with enterprise search, precedent management, knowledge management, or related content discovery platforms;
  • Background in supporting cloud-based enterprise content platforms, integrations, and platform modernization initiatives;
  • Experience managing SharePoint Online content for intranets, enterprise content management, collaboration, and Microsoft 365 integration;
  • Familiarity with Intapp risk, compliance, and matter lifecycle products, including Walls, Intake, Conflicts, Activity Tracker, Matter Team Manager, or similar platforms; and
  • Understanding of legal industry compliance, confidentiality, information governance, and client security requirements.

This position is located in our New York office, and currently has a hybrid work schedule, but that is subject to change. The estimated salary range for this position is $200,000 to $250,000. The actual salary offered will be based on a wide range of factors, including relevant skills, training, experience, education, and where applicable, licensure or certification obtained. Market and Firm factors are also considered.
