In this role, you'll:

This is a senior leadership opportunity responsible for leading Enterprise Architecture across Transport's asset, operational, data, and digital technology landscape, shaping the future architecture of one of Australia's most complex transport environments.


You will lead a team of Enterprise Architects responsible for defining strategic roadmaps, future-state architectures, and technology strategies that support enterprise-wide transformation and innovation.


You will provide strategic architecture leadership across major transformation initiatives involving:

- Enterprise Data Platforms
- Artificial Intelligence and Advanced Analytics
- Asset Management Platforms
- Operational Technology (OT)
- Digital Engineering
- Infrastructure and Asset Information Systems
- Decision Intelligence and Predictive Analytics
- Enterprise Integration and Smart Operations

Working closely with senior executives, delivery leaders, engineers, and technology stakeholders, you will shape the future architecture required to support Transport's evolving asset, operational, and technology strategies.


You will lead the development of strategic capability roadmaps, enterprise architecture blueprints, and technology standards that enable scalable data-driven decision making, AI adoption, operational efficiency, and long-term asset optimisation.


The role will play a key part in guiding major transformation programs, ensuring solutions align with enterprise architecture principles while supporting innovation and future capability growth.


You will provide thought leadership on emerging technologies, data architectures, AI solutions, digital engineering, operational technology, and industry best practice, ensuring Transport remains at the forefront of technology-enabled asset management and operational excellence.


As a people leader, you will build enterprise architecture maturity, strengthen governance practices, and mentor a team of architects delivering outcomes across a highly complex and evolving technology landscape.

About you

You are an experienced Enterprise Architecture leader with a strong track record delivering transformation programs across asset-intensive, data-driven, or operational technology environments.


You bring:

- Proven experience leading Enterprise Architecture within large and complex organisations.
- Demonstrated success leading major transformation initiatives involving Data, Analytics, AI, Asset Management, Operational Technology, or Digital Engineering platforms.
- Strong understanding of enterprise data architecture, information management, integration strategies, and emerging AI technologies.
- Experience developing architecture strategies, future-state roadmaps, capability models, and enterprise technology blueprints.
- Strong knowledge of architecture frameworks including TOGAF and ArchiMate.
- Understanding of Operational Technology, infrastructure, and asset management environments.
- Proven ability to influence executive stakeholders and guide strategic investment decisions.
- Strong leadership experience developing and mentoring architecture teams.

You are a strategic thinker who combines innovation with delivery pragmatism and enjoys solving complex business and technology challenges through architecture, data, and transformational thinking.
