The Senior Manager, Engineering Program Management leads the Memory Test Division Program Management function in San Jose, California, with responsibility for building a high-performing PM team and strengthening program execution across the organization. This role requires deep expertise in product development best practices, strong people leadership, and the ability to drive adoption of a disciplined product development approach. The successful candidate will partner closely with Central PM leadership and cross-functional teams to elevate PM capability, improve organizational awareness, and advance consistent, high-quality execution.


This leader will strengthen execution rigor across the division by embedding disciplined product development practices into how programs are planned, governed, and delivered. Success in this role requires the ability to lead organizational change, raise program management maturity, and drive clear, timely decisions that keep complex product development efforts aligned and on track.


The Teradyne Program Management Office enables effective product development execution by partnering with leaders and technical teams to manage complexity, navigate challenges, and maintain alignment across programs. The PMO helps ensure timely issue resolution, clear visibility into budget and schedule impacts, and informed decision-making by program sponsors.
In this role, you will:

  • Lead, coach, and develop the Program Management team to strengthen overall capability, consistency, and execution excellence.
  • Establish and reinforce disciplined product development and program management practices across the division.
  • Drive high-quality planning and execution by ensuring strong program structure, schedule rigor, resource alignment, and clear accountability.
  • Partner with engineering, marketing, applications, operations, and support functions to align priorities, resolve issues, and improve cross-functional execution.
  • Provide leadership visibility into program health, risks, scope changes, and decision points, and drive timely escalation and resolution when needed.
  • Build organizational awareness and adoption of strong program management practices through change leadership, communication, and coaching.
  • Oversee risk, issue, and change management across the portfolio to support predictable product development outcomes.
  • Drive continuous improvement in PM processes, tools, and operating rhythms to improve execution effectiveness across the organization.

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, business, or a related field required or equivalent experience.
  • 12+ years of progressive leadership experience in program and project management within a complex technology environment.
  • Deep expertise in product development best practices, with a strong track record of driving disciplined execution across cross-functional organizations.
  • Demonstrated success building, leading, and developing high-performing Program Management teams.
  • Proven ability to lead organizational change, influence stakeholders, and increase adoption of strong program and product development practices.
  • Strong executive communication and organizational leadership skills, with the ability to create alignment, drive decisions, and elevate program management maturity.
  • Experience leading teams and programs across global or multi-site organizations.
  • Experience developing talent, strengthening organizational capability, and building a culture of accountability and execution excellence.
  • PMI affiliation and PMP certification are preferred.

Compensation

The base salary range for this role is $188,800 - $302,100. This range is a good faith estimate, and the amount of base salary will correspond with experience and skill set. This range can also fluctuate depending on demand and location.

Incentive Plan

This job is eligible for discretionary bonus(es) based on financial performance.
