In this role, you'll:

Working as part of the Technical Services Engineering Design Assurance team this role will see you act as the single technical authority for traction power systems, accountable for safe design, integration, energization and operational readiness.


As the Traction power discipline authority for 25 KV AC systems you will provide Assurance of compliance with railway safety and electrical standards , endorse traction designs and configurations, and manage high-risk interfaces with rolling stock, signalling and HV systems.


You will have 0wnership of energisation, trial running and operational acceptance readiness.

This is a fixed term opportunity up until 30th June 2030 - Sydney CBD based.

About you

You will have extensive experience with 25 KV AC traction supply; traction substations; overhead wiring systems; return current and traction earthing; and system integration interfaces.


You will alos have the ability to meet the requirements for Level 2-3 (minimum) competency for Electrical Systems above in accordance with the Sydney Metro Competency Management system.
