Job Description

You see the big picture, you’ve always worked on a grand scale, and now you’re ready to re-focus on grand impact.

You're ready to help shape our narrative. Your expertise will amplify the impact of initiatives, foster public trust and ensure our stakeholders are engaged and empowered by what we do.

In this role, you'll:

Work within the People, Communication and Workplaces Division, as part of the Transport Shared Services Branch.

You’ll be the strategic anchor for engagement and enablement — guiding a five‑year engagement plan and driving cultural change in how we manage records and information across Transport. Leading a team (11), you’ll lead four teams that deliver outreach, communication, capability uplift and solutions for complex service requests. You’ll influence senior stakeholders, shape consistent best practice, and create clear pathways that help thousands of employees understand what good information management looks like — and why it matters.

Most importantly, you’ll bring strategic leadership across the enterprise — uplifting capability across Transport.

This role is based in Burwood, with travel to other offices (Macquarie Park and Paramatta) and flexible hybrid work options to support balance and productivity. Regional candidates encourage to apply, with the expectation of travel every two months to Sydney.

About you

You’re someone who brings deep experience in both organisational engagement and enablement. You’re the person people call when something needs to shift. You’re confident leading multiple teams, driving engagement, training and communication that uplifts capability across Transport. You communicate with clarity, collaborate naturally, someone who builds capability, leads through change and drives consistency across the organisation.

You influence senior leaders with ease and handle complex service and governance issues with balanced, practical judgement. Above all, you’re curious, proactive and future‑focused, with a genuine interest in strengthening governance, risk awareness and enterprise‑wide compliance.

Tertiary qualifications in information management, records management, organisational development, business administration, or a related discipline; or demonstrated, equivalent professional experience.
