The Team

Royal Hobart Hospital is Tasmania’s largest hospital, and the Cardiothoracic Surgical Unit within the RHH is the tertiary referral centre for all cardiothoracic surgery in Tasmania. As the major clinical teaching and research centre, RHH works closely with the University of Tasmania and other institutions. All our services work closely together to focus on delivering excellence in healthcare to achieve improved outcomes for our consumers, our workforce, and the Tasmanian community.

The Role

  • Develop, implement and evaluate education and clinical support programs for initial, continuing, remediation, and clinical accreditation for all operational staff, and relevant education and clinical support programs for non-operational staff.
  • Ensure all Ambulance Tasmania staff are compliant with Department of Health Core Learning.
  • Ensure all clinical staff are compliant with the Ambulance Tasmania Credentialing Framework and provide key reports on credentialing to the Director - Education.

You will need

  • Demonstrated experience in the management of organisation-wide clinical and other educational functions within a complex environment.
  • Demonstrated understanding of the VET sector including the management of an RTO or the capacity to rapidly acquire this knowledge.
  • Demonstrated understanding of the Tertiary education sector or the capacity to rapidly acquire this knowledge.

Details of appointment

Permanent full time, day worker position, working 76 hours per fortnight, commencing as soon as possible.

*Notwithstanding hours to be negotiated with the successful applicant.

Salary - General Stream Band 8

$144,169 to $153,844 per annum. Our Employer 12% superannuation contribution is on top of this amount.

  • Salary range is in accordance with Public Sector Unions Wages Agreement 2025.

Eligibility

  • Appropriate tertiary qualifications in education or significant progress towards completion of a tertiary education qualification.
  • Relevant experience working in a health-related field.
