
Job Purpose
Contribute to the development of the TIH Online Channel strategy for Web and Mobile by providing input based on platform performance, digital and customer insights, market research and competitor analysis. Support the Plan and Design team by gathering and interpreting digital user behaviour, conducting sector and industry reviews and monitoring global trends. Provide analysis that informs planning, guides the design of online solutions and supports execution across relevant TIH segments such as STI, BI and VAPS. The role contributes to the development of digital plans by analysing customer data, monitoring competitor activity and identifying market trends that influence customer expectations.
Responsibilities
Digital Vision and Strategy
Support the development and communication of the digital vision and strategy by providing insight, research and practical recommendations that align with broader organisational priorities. Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to gather inputs, understand emerging digital needs and ensure plans are aligned with customer expectations and market trends. Contribute to translating the digital strategy into actionable plans for delivery across relevant business areas.
Leadership and Direction
Communicate the team’s action plan and ensure employees understand how their work contributes to the functional strategy and the broader organisational goals. Provide clear direction, set expectations and motivate the team to achieve agreed business objectives. Support employees by reinforcing priorities, removing obstacles and promoting a positive and accountable work environment.
Building Capability
Support the implementation of the team’s formal development framework by identifying capability gaps and coordinating relevant development activities. Provide informal coaching within your area of expertise to colleagues to strengthen skills and support continuous learning across the team.
Data-driven Product and Service Improvement
Research data from digital product/service performance, customer behavior, and market trends to identify opportunities for product/service improvement. Conduct data analysis to identify opportunities to improve digital products and user experiences. Support customer and market research by applying standard research and analysis methods and ensure insights are shared to inform enhancements across digital products, services and channels.
Product/Service Development
As subject matter expert on the team keep up to date with the latest developments in the digital space in respect of digital insurance and other related technologies and the application to business objectives and customer needs as well as delivery thereof. Stay abreast of global financial institution’s strategies and best practices in relation to digital insurance. Understand competitor strategies and their positioning in respect of digital channel solutions. Stay abreast with user experience practices, accepted user experiences design standards and methods to ensure solutions are customer-led (based on customer needs and not just technology driven).
Horizon Scanning

Provide research, ideas and early solution concepts that support the development and prototyping of innovation business cases. Analyse digital user needs, market trends and digital opportunities to help identify concepts with potential to advance the innovation strategy and shape the future pipeline and road map. Contribute practical insights and evidence that strengthen business case development and support informed decision making on which ideas should progress to testing and validation.
Stakeholder Engagement
Contribute to effective stakeholder engagement by identifying key stakeholders, understanding their needs, concerns and expectations and providing clear insights that support alignment on digital priorities. Share information, prepare supporting materials and communicate updates that promote understanding, build commitment and support collaboration across teams involved in customer and digital initiatives.
Business Case Contribution
Contribute to the development of business cases by providing data, analysis and cost inputs to support investment decisions and benefit justification.
Technical Developments Recommendation
Discuss and recommend technical developments to improve quality of the website/portal/applications software and supporting infrastructure to better meet users' needs.
Platform Realisation of Business Benefits
Achievement of projected quality objectives for business benefits; Quality standards including adoption rate of features upon delivery, Achievement of projected targets on different business case projections, Realisation of intended customer experience benefits based on UX dashboard and metrics, Realisation of projected sales and cross sell targets, Realisation of intended cost reduction targets, Realisation of migration targets to digital channels.
Education
BCom Business or BSC Information Technology/Systems degree or similar (Essential); Post Graduate Diploma (Essential); Hons degree (Advantageous); MBA (Advantageous) (Required)
Experience
6 to 10 years' experience to deal with the majority of situations and to advise others (Essential); Digital platform experience (Essential); Experience in a similar role within the Financial Services Industry (Advantageous); 1 years' experience planning and managing resources to deliver predetermined objectives as specified by more senior managers (Essential)
