Enterprise Data Management & Products (EDMP), a key part of our Technology organization, focuses on delivering data products that fuel business growth and unlock value, while also shaping robust data management strategies and governance solutions. Our aim is to propel growth, unlock potential, enhance efficiency, manage risk, and foster talent. By prioritizing enterprise growth across all sectors, we create solutions that enhance satisfaction and value, streamline operations for scalability, and maintain trust and security.

How will you make an impact in this role?

We are seeking a Senior Product Manager to lead the strategy and execution of the enterprise semantic layer, a foundational capability that enables consistent, trusted, and reusable business definitions across analytics, reporting, and data products. This role will own the product vision and delivery of semantic modeling capabilities that power self service analytics, accelerate insight generation, and ensure alignment between business metrics and underlying data assets.

This role is responsible for enabling a scalable metrics and business logic layer that improves data usability, reduces ambiguity, and drives faster time to insights for internal consumers, while ensuring strong governance, compliance, and data quality standards are embedded by design.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Lead the product strategy, roadmap, and execution for the enterprise semantic layer, including business metrics, dimensions, and shared definitions across the analytics ecosystem.
  • Define and govern enterprise wide semantic standards, ensuring consistent interpretation of KPIs, measures, and calculations across BI tools, dashboards, and downstream data products.
  • Partner with data engineering and platform teams to design and deliver scalable semantic modeling capabilities that support multiple consumption patterns (BI, self service analytics, APIs, etc).
  • Collaborate with data governance, risk, and compliance partners to ensure semantic definitions align with regulatory, privacy, and data quality requirements.
  • Enable self service analytics by improving data usability, metric discoverability, and trust through well documented, versioned, and owned semantic models.
  • Drive adoption of the semantic layer by working with lines of business, analytics teams, and product owners to migrate and standardize existing metrics and reports.
  • Establish and track success metrics such as semantic layer adoption, metric reuse, reduction in conflicting definitions, and user satisfaction.
  • Act as a senior product leader and influencer, aligning stakeholders across technology and business teams to deliver enterprise-scale outcomes.
  • Provide mentorship and guidance to product analysts and associates, fostering a culture of innovation, accountability, and collaboration.
  • Build and maintain strong stakeholder relationships to identify needs, resolve challenges, and drive continuous improvement in product offerings.
  • Serve as a key liaison to leadership, preparing and delivering updates on roadmap progress, priorities, and risks.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business, or a related field; Master’s preferred.
  • 5–8 years of experience in digital or data product management, with demonstrated ownership of platform, data, or internal enterprise products.
  • Strong understanding of data ecosystems, including data lakes/warehouses, metadata management, data catalogs, APIs, and analytics tools.
  • Deep understanding of semantic layers, metrics frameworks, and business modeling, including KPIs, measures, dimensions, and hierarchies.
  • Experience designing or managing enterprise semantic layers supporting multiple tools.
  • Experience supporting analytics and BI ecosystems, including self-service reporting and data consumption at scale.
  • Proven ability to work across engineering, governance, and business teams in a highly regulated, large scale enterprise environment.
  • Technical fluency to partner effectively with engineering teams and make informed tradeoff decisions.
  • Background working with modern cloud-based data platforms and analytics stacks.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence without authority.
  • Demonstrated expertise in Agile product management, backlog refinement, and sprint planning.
  • Deep understanding of big data platform architecture, data management, and emerging technologies.
