Job Description

This role is focused on designing and delivering advanced reporting and analytics solutions to support core financial functions, including financial consolidation, planning, forecasting, treasury, tax, compliance, and reporting. The position involves leading a team of developers to translate business requirements into innovative reporting tools using platforms such as SAP and Oracle. The role is highly collaborative and requires a passion for continuous learning and a commitment to excellence in reporting and analytics.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the design, development, and testing of reporting solutions for assigned projects.
  • Analyze large data sets by extracting, cleaning, and processing information from databases.
  • Design reports and dashboards by defining KPIs, creating visualizations, and organizing data for actionable insights.
  • Collaborate with analysts, stakeholders, and team members to understand reporting needs and incorporate feedback.
  • Ensure seamless integration and staging of data into reporting tools.
  • Conduct quality assurance through rigorous testing and issue resolution.
  • Follow data security standards and maintain compliance with organizational policies.
  • Communicate technical information effectively to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Identify and implement opportunities for system optimization and enhanced performance.
  • Stay informed on industry trends and advancements in reporting technologies.

Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree in computer science or a related field.
  • A minimum of 7 years of IT experience, with at least 3 years in digital reporting solutions.
  • Expertise in SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC) and Microsoft Power BI.
  • Familiarity with additional BI tools such as Tableau, MicroStrategy, or Spotfire.
  • Advanced knowledge of database systems, including SAP HANA and Oracle, and ETL tools like ODI or Informatica.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proven leadership experience with the ability to coach and guide teams to achieve meaningful results.
  • Experience in the pharmaceutical or life sciences sector.
  • Knowledge of corporate finance or accounting practices.

Salary Range: $130k - $180k
