Westpac Europe GmbH (WEG) is Westpac's European banking subsidiary, headquartered in Frankfurt. WEG provides institutional banking services to corporate and financial institution clients throughout Europe and plays a key role in supporting Westpac's global Institutional Bank strategy.
Operating in a highly regulated environment, WEG maintains a strong focus on risk management, regulatory compliance and financial crime prevention.
How will I help?
Reporting to the Money Laundering Reporting Officer (MLRO), you will play a critical role in supporting the oversight and management of Financial Crime Risk across WEG. Acting as the Deputy MLRO and Deputy Central Office, you will help ensure the bank meets its obligations under German and European AML, Counter Terrorism Financing and sanctions regulations.
You will work closely with senior management, regulators, auditors and stakeholders across Europe and the broader Westpac Group, providing expert advice, oversight and challenge on financial crime matters while helping drive a strong risk culture throughout the organisation.
