Role:

Senior Manager, Delivery Portfolio Management

Location:

  • Office Options: Hybrid or Remote. For team members residing in Toronto, we expect 2-4 days of in-person work per month, allowing flexibility choosing these days to accommodate client meetings, team syncs and individual schedules. For all other cities, we welcome remote work. .
  • Travel Expectations: 20%

What you'll do

  • Serve as the Engagement Lead across a portfolio of Digital Reporting & Compliance client engagements, providing oversight from project initiation through successful delivery while ensuring consistent quality, client satisfaction, and commercial performance.
  • Own the health of a portfolio of concurrent projects by proactivelyidentifyingdelivery risks, managing escalations, driving issue resolution, and ensuring teamsexecute withconsistency, transparency, and accountability.
  • Partner with Practice Leadership to provide clear visibility into project status, engagement economics, resource needs, portfolio risks, and client health, enabling leaders to focus on market growth, practice strategy, and people development.
  • Lead project governance byestablishingeffective communication cadence, monitoring milestones, managing RAID logs,facilitatingexecutive steering discussions, and ensuring risks are surfaced and mitigatedbefore they impactproject outcomes.
  • Own engagement economics across the portfolio by proactively managing scope, budget, staffing,utilization, change requests, and margin while partnering with project teams tomaintainhealthy financial performance.
  • Build trusted advisor relationships with client stakeholders, serving as the primary escalation point throughout delivery while creating opportunities for long-term account growth.
  • Collaborate closely with technical and functional Workiva specialists, enabling them to focus on solution design and implementation while providing leadership across project management, stakeholder communication, commercial oversight, and governance.
  • Identifyopportunities to expand existing accounts by introducingadditionalDigital Reporting & Compliance capabilities, includingliaisingwith Workiva as needed tosupport withexpansion and risk management.
  • Collaborating with other Clearsulting Practices to deliver broader Finance Transformation solutions.
  • Mentor, coach, and develop Managers, Senior Consultants, and Consultants by strengthening project management discipline, consulting skills, commercial acumen, and client leadership capabilities.
  • Champion delivery excellence by driving consistent adoption of project management standards, delivery methodologies, governance processes, and quality controls across the Practice.
  • Lead continuous improvement initiatives that enhance portfolio management, reporting, delivery operations, project management tools, and overall client experience.
  • Drive GTM collateral - including qualifications, UBVs, go-live alerts, and other meaningful materials - and develop strategies to improve brand externally

What You'll Bring:

  • 6+ years of consulting or industry experience leading complex finance transformation, digital reporting, financial reporting, or enterprise software implementation programs.
  • Demonstrated experience managing multiple concurrent client engagements with accountability for delivery quality, project governance, client satisfaction, and financial performance.
  • Experience serving as an Engagement Lead, Project Director, Program Manager, or Delivery Manager responsible for executive stakeholder management and portfolio oversight.
  • Deep understanding of project management fundamentals including scope management, risk mitigation, issue resolution, resource planning, change management, executive communications, and delivery governance.
  • Experience with System Development Lifecycle (SDLC) principles, leading practices, and execution (i.e., requirements gathering, solution design and testing cycles).
  • Strong commercial mindset with experience managing engagement economics including project budgets, margins, staffing, forecasting, and scope management.
  • Proven ability to build trusted relationships with executive client stakeholders while effectively navigating complex delivery challenges and competing priorities.
  • Experience collaborating across technical, functional, commercial, and executive leadership teams to successfully deliver client outcomes.
  • Excellent written and verbal communicationskills;clearly convey complex business concepts toexecutiveaudience, incorporating leading practices for business writing.
  • Reporting experience in one or more of the following areas: SEC/SEDAR Financial Reporting, Management Reporting, Operational Reporting, GSR Reporting, ESG Reporting, or Private Company Reporting.
  • Strong knowledge of financial reporting processes and Workiva capabilities, including experience delivering Workiva implementations or optimization initiatives.
  • Exceptional communication, leadership, and organizational skills with the ability to provide structure, confidence, and direction across multiple simultaneous engagements.
  • Experiencewith anda passion for investing in and developing junior team members to build high performing teams.

Nice-to-Haves:

  • Experience leading large-scale Workiva implementation or optimization programs.
  • PMP, Agile, Scrum, or comparable project management certification.
  • Experience managing delivery portfolios within a consulting or professional services organization.
  • Familiarity with engagement economics includingutilization, margin management, forecasting, and revenue planning.
  • Experience building PMO standards,deliverygovernance frameworks, project management methodologies, or operational reporting.
  • Experience developing delivery accelerators, implementation methodologies, reusable templates, or project management playbooks.
  • Knowledge of broader Finance Transformation technologies and processes beyond Workiva.
  • Experienceidentifyingand developing cross-sell and account expansion opportunities within existing client relationships.
  • Executive presence with the ability to confidentlyfacilitatesteering committees, difficult client conversations, and executive presentations.

The compensation range for this position is $155,000 – $200,000 CAD. We are committed to ensuring our offers reflect the value each candidate brings to the role. Final salary placement will be based on upon several factors, including, level of expertise, relevant work experience, technology certifications, educational background, geography and alignment with industry standards. This role is eligible for our bonus program.
