Job Description

Our Data Governance organization is advancing a unified, scalable platform to enable trusted, accessible, and well-managed data across all domains.

We are seeking a Senior Manager, Data Governance Platforms to lead the vision, strategy, and delivery of our Enterprise Data Governance Platforms—a suite of capabilities that serves teams across Customer, Vendor, Finance, Marketing, HR, and Supply Chain master data domains.

This role is all about platform ownership, delivering reusable, scalable capabilities that enable governance, data management, and AI-driven insights across the enterprise. The ideal candidate is a strategic platform leader who can unify diverse capabilities—including metadata, lineage, data quality, ontology, and AI—into a cohesive ecosystem that accelerates adoption and business value.

Key Responsibilities

Platform Strategy & Ownership

  • Support the Governance Technology Enablement leader to deliver the vision, strategy, and roadmap for the Enterprise Data Governance Platforms

  • Build forward-thinking, scalable, reusable platform capabilities that serve multiple data domains across the enterprise

  • Establish success metrics focused on platform adoption, data usability, governance maturity, and business impact

  • Ensure platform capabilities are interoperable, extensible, and aligned to enterprise data and technology strategy

Core Platform Capabilities Ownership

Own and evolve a portfolio of data governance platform capabilities, including:

  • Enterprise Data Catalog & Metadata Management

  • Deliver and evolve processes and capabilities that enable the enterprise data catalog, business glossary, and metadata ecosystem

  • Governance Workflow & Ticketing Systems

  • Oversee platforms supporting data governance processes such as access requests, issue management, and stewardship workflows

  • Knowledge Management & Governance Enablement

  • Deliver tools and experiences that enable documentation, standards adoption, and governance knowledge sharing

  • Data Governance Automation

  • Identify and implement automation opportunities to streamline governance processes, reduce manual effort, and improve scalability

  • AI & Intelligent Governance Capabilities

  • Lead development of AI-driven use cases and agent-based solutions to enhance data discovery, stewardship, and decision-making

  • Data Modeling & Semantic Layer Enablement

  • Define and support scalable semantic models that standardize and simplify data consumption across domains

  • Data Ontology & Graph Enablement

  • Drive ontology development and graph-based capabilities to enable advanced relationships, discoverability, and insights

  • Data Quality & Profiling

  • Ensure platform capabilities support data profiling, monitoring, and quality management at scale

  • Data Lineage & Traceability

  • Develop end-to-end data lineage capabilities to provide transparency, traceability, and impact analysis

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Partner with Data Governance, Data Engineering, Analytics, AI/ML, and business domain teams to align on platform priorities and adoption

  • Ensure platform capabilities support consistent use of master and reference data across domains

  • Collaborate with enterprise architecture to align on standards, integrations, and scalability

Platform & Delivery Excellence

  • Lead platform discovery and evolution through user research, usage data, and stakeholder feedback

  • Translate complex governance and data requirements into scalable platform features and services

  • Partner with engineering and architecture teams to deliver robust, secure, and performant solutions

  • Monitor platform performance, adoption, and outcomes to drive continuous improvement

Education Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in a relevant field (Computer Science, Information Systems, Data, Engineering, Business)

  • Advanced degree (MBA, Master’s in Data/Technology-related field) preferred

Related Work Experience

  • 3-5 years of experience in product management, platform management, or related disciplines

  • Proven experience delivering platform-based solutions serving multiple teams or domains

  • Strong experience in data platforms, data governance, or enterprise data ecosystems

  • Experience working with capabilities such as data catalogs, lineage, data quality, or metadata management

  • Exposure to AI/ML-driven products or intelligent automation use cases

  • Experience leading product teams and influencing cross-functional stakeholders

Skills

Platform & Technical

  • Strong platform product management mindset (scalability, reuse, extensibility)

  • Deep understanding of enterprise data governance concepts and tooling

  • Familiarity with:

  • Data catalogs and metadata platforms (MS Purview)

  • Data lineage and data quality tools (MS Purview, MS PowerBI)

  • Semantic layers, ontologies, and graph technologies (MS Fabric)

  • AI/ML applications in data management and governance (MS Fabric)

  • Ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear product strategies

Leadership & Business

  • Strategic thinking with ability to operate across enterprise-level complexity

  • Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills

  • Ability to align diverse teams around shared platforms and standards

  • Excellent communication and storytelling capabilities

  • Strong prioritization and decision-making in ambiguous environments

Pay Range:

United States of America: 152,000 USD - 178,300 USD

Base pay offered may vary depending on geography, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. A full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the position, is offered.

Annual Incentive Reference Value Percentage:

Annual Incentive reference value is a market-based competitive value for your role. It falls in the middle of the range for your role, indicating performance at target.
