Job Description

We are seeking a self-starter, detail-oriented Data Culture and Change Management Lead to help develop and execute our internal communications strategies—to keep our employees informed and act as a partner to our executives and data teams across AIG globally. This individual must have excellent writing and communication skills, strong project management capabilities, and an exceptional ability to execute. As part of the Global Data Office team and reporting to the Global Head of Data Management & Governance, the ideal candidate will plan and execute internal communications initiatives, build employee engagement strategies, and collaborate with Data Office leadership and various other teams across AIG to create a communications strategy and materials focused on building and maturing a data culture.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the Data Office to drive maturation of our corporate data culture and build/implement an effective communications and change management strategy.
  • Design and produce various communications materials to support the vision of our Data programs.
  • Help create campaigns to build employee pride and engagement – especially with our Data Owners and Data Stewards across the globe.
  • Drive change management efforts and support communications for company-wide data transformation programs.
  • Help manage and maintain the Data Office intranet site, newsletters, infographics, eLearning, blogs, and more.
  • Support strategy and cadence for employee all-hands, staff meetings, executive meetings and other internal events.
  • Participate as an active member of the Data Office Employee Engagement Committee.
  • Collaborate with members of the Marketing & Communications team to align internal Data strategy and Data Governance strategy with AIG strategy.
  • Collaborate with the HR and Talent team on communications around company culture, employee recognition, learning and development initiatives, and more.
  • Continuously improve communication effectiveness by finding innovative ways to engage employees and through measurement and insights.

Qualifications Requirements:

  • Experience working across a large, global, diverse, and complex organization – given that communications may need to vary across geographic regions (e.g. North America, Latin America, Europe, Asia)
  • Proven experience with internal communications programs and change management, preferably ;within Data & Analytics or IT ; with an understanding of agile software development methodologies
  • Strong ability to listen, absorb, process, and distill new information across a wide range of complex topics, programs, products, and services.
  • Proven ability to create and manage timelines.
  • Impeccable organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to prioritize and juggle multiple tasks at any given time.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Strong relationship-building abilities - to influence and build consensus across levels and teams.
  • Results-driven mindset that thrives in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent problem-solving, analyzing, and critical thinking.
  • Ability to work autonomously with high levels of integrity and self-motivation.
  • Growth mindset, self-starter with desire to learn and contribute to driving change and results.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft applications (especially PowerPoint, Word, and SharePoint), collaboration tools (e.g. Teams), and other tools/methodologies useful for communication and change management (e.g. ADKAR, Prosci).

For positions based in Washington, DC the base salary range is $175,000-$200,000 and the position is eligible for a bonus in accordance with the terms of the applicable incentive plan.
